Totally agreed. We want to see improved progress on sign ups but bit at the expense of standards slipping.
Just 1 bad review can of course be damning. Obviously Tom Sumner is a proven business builder but I’m sure Aiden will want to clean up any issues like this and grow the business in a responsible fashion. There’s no short cuts.
I confess that the information posted here about Tablenow is quite disconcerting and it would be very helpful if more informed light could be shed on what are a lot of very poor reviews. It is relevant since the man behind Tablenow is leading the efforts to rejuvenate Bigdish.
Lemonade, you are being wildly optimistic even allowing the thought of 6000 restaurants to be considered!!
JOHNO77 , I've gained an insight of the booking confirmation EPOS in the past from Aidan and am extremely impressed with the current BigDish booking model system of the instant tracking from the restaurant side. Be a shame for things to go downhill.
"valued at 2p, with 200 restaurants currently in play"
Someone else might say "overvalued at 2p with (less than) 200 restaurants". Worse still, the money will run out by Q3 2020 since there is zero revenues coming in. Mr Market is not a fool, the SP will continue dropping until new funding is secured.
That was aimed at AP not Millair.
If a restaurant is closed that is obviously an issue and the site needs updating.
I think a lot of peeps are missing the picture here,, were valued at 2p, with 200 restaurants currently in play.
where do you think we will be with 6,000??
watching ;-)
Well done Sherlock but I’m confused as to why you are even here?
If you don’t like it don’t buy it. Simples! Move on and do something more constructive with your life...
JOHNO77, checking the tablenow today, the website is allowing a booking for this evening at a restaurant that in now permanently closed!
Ok agreed so a few bad reviews which need ironing out. Maybe tech glitches.
Far more 5 star reviews than 1 star tho if you care to look. The Fbook and twitter accounts look established and there were no bad reviews on those when I had a quick scan.
Am happy to give this time to unfold. As long as we stay above the recent lows then all good.
“ Nuff said...”
True, can’t compare capabilities in signing up an easier business model to sell.
Past history doesn’t matter when it comes to yield management. It would be more prevalent if they signed someone up that had a history of promoting yield management in other areas.
jsmith23, and if those restaurants didn't know they were on the platform, what does that suggest to you?
JOHN, Tom grew them from 250 to 3000 in 6 months, well Dish should have 200 by early December so if he can do the same or even near 3000 in 6 months it will absolutely rocket this sp, explosion would be a dream come true!
Most of the restaurants didn’t know who Table now where, so where they ever signed up???
JOHNO77, it'd be interesting to know how many bookings have been taken by those restaurants that are on the platform that Tom and team has grown in such a short time.
Some of these reviews look interesting;
https://www.feefo.com/en-GB/reviews/tablenow?timeFrame=YEAR
‘The Company notes that Tastecard, Gourmet Society and TableNow all have proven the effectiveness of telesales within their operations and have all favoured this to a 'boots on the ground' approach to restaurant acquisition. ‘
‘Tom grew the platform, with a 10 person telesales team, from 250 to 3,000 restaurants across the United Kingdom over a six month period.’

The Californian Investor has more ammo if needed. See the bigger picture folks. This is early doors and a bargain basement share price for a wee while longer. But not for long......
"Imo I don't care who is CEO so long as he has proven himself elsewhere and gets the job done..."
Something is badly wrong if/when the CEO's job is solely to attract restaurants to the platform. This is only one part of the equation. The bigger part is generating sufficient revenues and managing costs. There is nothing mentioned in this fellas resume to suggest he is CEO material.
But again, this company and its founder is more interested in hyping up the share price than being commercially viable. Why do you need a new CEO to try out a telesales strategy? Because the goal was simply to revive the share price. But good old Johny Private Investor isn't falling for it this time!
Imo I don't care who is CEO so long as he has proven himself elsewhere and gets the job done...no need to have an old CEO...younger the better I believe...more hungry to do well. On Sanj, we will have to see - main asset are his connections to the chains...
Thanks Monty I am convinced a good telesales team will get results
But making a telesales office manager the CEO seems a bit odd.
I don't trust this lot and will watch how this plays out over the coming weeks
It is a big mistake not getting rid of Sanj been an absolute waste of money over the last 9months he's achieved 0.
Big, bold sweeping changes are exactly what was needed
Ronnie, my understanding is the new team will be moving into a serviced office at beg of Dec...so it probably is a Regus type place where everything is included...so no delays expected..I would buy mate....we have had the rinse today of the short termers offloading
Has anyone had an experience of booking with your local restaurant using Tablenow?
How did it go? ...
" Hopefully the premises are already lined up and the new CEO has the sense to got the wheels in motion "
He will have only signed up if the decisions were made before he joined....IMO ...hit the floor running ASAP seems to be his requirement...the decision to get rid of the TM's must have been part of the pre-condition of joining
" A good telesales team will soon start to accumulate restaurant numbers."
what is the deal though....are these EXCLUSIVE contracts with a minimim contract period ? ..or can the restaurant use more than one APP company ( difficult to manage maybe ) and are they on a leave when I want type contract ? ...In other words what is the churn rate with all these restaurants changing from one App to another ??
Well done Ronnie you know it makes sense. This is surely the time to get in whilst almost at historic lows.
The TableNow offices are in Manchester, I would assume Big Dish will set up very quickly. Limited set up costs. Just office space, the internet and a few phones.
