The last Merck CEO was asked about takeovers. I've no opinion on the likelihood of a takeover but this is quite a good article:

There's no doubt Keytruda is a life saving / prolonging blockbuster ......... If 4D can add value to Keytruda the benefits will be amazing for so many (and I don't mean in financial terms)
Do 4D Pharma's CEO and CSO have $2 million ( I believe that's what they recently invested @ 110p, is that right?) between them to just invest into a company to appease PIs/IIs - unless they thought this was a safe investment?
That is the questions. These are also 2 guys who have access to the information about current trials and commercial discussions @ 4D.
So difficult to eliminate all the white noise (ramping/deramping) on these boards - the question above is what I think it all boils down to. Thoughts?
Good article in the Journal.ie today re Keytruda trial in TUH Dublin.

I would be disappointed with a buyout at 5x market cap.
Expecting much higher than that within the next few years.
MSD are building an R&D plant alongside a facility they recently acquired in Ireland. It's their first such venture so acquiring 4D would make sense.

Look at the numbers in that article for a site compared to 4d market cap !!!!
A buyout would need to be at x5 current SP minimum IMO
Ridiculous, doh.
Fatgreek1,
Fully agree based on your point added to the fact that the drop is standard practice pre buy-out notwithstanding all pharma's are taking a beating due to anticipated "inflation figures" and "covid variants" having an anticipated lower immunity efficasy than original figures, were all "lumped together for some rediculous reason.
