It will be interesting to hear what progress BI has made with CC RF in China. I understand Xingiang suffered a major outage recently, BI supplies meters to that area but have they used us yet, I suspect not so now would be the time to push CC RF, we all know that market is absolutely massive.

Yes LTI, quite likely a mish mash for EESL to work with.
jake, read the Feb Trilliant. Looks like they have had to go the same route as Cyan did with Connode and buy Primestone so obviously needed a bit more Software refinement. The thing with India is you have to get accepted. If CC gets 20% 0f India Smart then a very good result.
DYOR
Good afternoon tonyj and all,
In reply to your 12:05 post, it is also the same Saurabh Kumar who has presented with Brian Spear, of Trilliant, about the worlds fastest one million smart meter deployment, in India.
So maybe both Companies provide something different for EESL. And as far as EESL is concerned, with the inclusion of CyanConnode, the Middle East and Africa are convenient regions to start.
LTI.
So I would argue is Feb 2021 but. As you say let's park it and wait for the outcome.
jake. I think we had better leave this subject before boredom sets in all round.
Closing comment on your 10:34.
Sourabh Kumar, as mentioned, was the same person who has just welcomed CC on board and that is current.
DYOR
Hello jake.. Again it is a matter of wait and see; all looking for next RNS.
With UK it is probably fingers crossed until fix. I think UK Government got another Software company in to do the fix, Cyanconnode did not come on the scene until SMETS2 so was not their headache.
We banter about CC but if they get at least all of the customer base of the existing Utility contracts (say 20m + Thailand)
we should do ok. Just a matter of sitting it out one last time.
DYOR
Morning Colour. I think the part that interested me from the 2021 link was "PrimeStone, like Trilliant, has developed solutions that are endpoint agnostic, allowing customers the flexibility of choice in terms of their hardware."
Looks like they are another of a few vendors involved with EESL. The invoice online with a basic search for anyone caring to look. Or maybe I'm missing something?
I'm guessing he will have his Big Shoes and Red Nose on now jake : ))
No idea Tony. Coincidentally though I spoke with my supplier who cannot monitor Smets 1 as yet.........but will be able to in about 6 months apparently. How accurate that is I couldn't say for sure.

Trilliant and EESL. You may wish to look on the Trilliant site Tony. They are by no means the only agnostic solution though.
jake, I think the bottom line here solely relating to India is it takes a long time to get acknowledge and the Government appears to want to push on and require 3 or more applicants for contracts and CC RF can be used in any of the main (and others) meter manufacturers meters. Took CC a long time to get to that position and acceptance so I suspect JC should get his 20% of the total 250m units. Only my opinion.
DYOR
jake, looking back quickly at SMETS1 was it Trilliant that had to be replaced by Connode.
What I'm saying is they appear to have an agnostic solution and seem to have had for some time. You may recall many months back I said Monitoring Stations could manage CCTV, Access and Alarm Systems from multiple different system manufacturers using software and a front end GUI. The solution has been available for years.
I always smile when I think of a conversation with an old IT guy I worked with. " Two wires and a battery" was his favourite saying! But more complicated than that but in reality it's only basically software coding when all said and done. AIMO of course
Hello jake. Thanks for that. Are you saying that Trilliant, as AGNOSTIC comms is currently inside Smart meters in India.
Any idea which ones.
One for you Tony. Read carefully then perhaps suggest why they didn't try to buy CC?

Tony temp off filter so I can give the courtesy of a reply.
Trilliant, a global provider of industrial internet of things (IIoT) and smart energy communications solutions, today announces the completion of additional meter integrations as a part of their vendor AGNOSTIC communications platform"
That was in 2019 so I would say yes.
Hello jake, you are right, that is old news. Can you get any more up to date. I seem to remember that Trilliant only did HES in that 1m unit roll out.
Do we know if they are in any Smart meters in India. We do know that CC RF is in several contracts at this moment. So why is this, could they be lower priced, more reliable, quick to install, immediate returns for Utility and a course a small AGNOSTIC company that has been praised for its Indore showcase by various states and Indian Government.
Colour with Secure are they AGNOSTIC, the in word, probably not, so one company and I seem to remember GoI does not like only one company. After all this time I suspect India wants action now not another lot of dithering.
DYOR
A simple Google search gives a lot of info Colour. I also have a feeling , if the price is right, knowing India, it won't care where they are produced despite the noise made to date.
Secure Meters are smashing out millions with the Comms tech required. TATA's latest smart offer is also making huge strides, again with Comms tech pre loaded. All made in India. No doubt it will be CC inside both, the world cannot function without them : ))
Old news but may be of interest, I did mention Trilliant as one of many competitions worldwide. I believe JC has himself confirmed CC have many competitors and not as some believe the holy grail solution.
Not sure how far they have progressed since 2019 but with the statement:
"Trilliant, a global provider of industrial internet of things (IIoT) and smart energy communications solutions, today announces the completion of additional meter integrations as a part of their vendor agnostic communications platform" it would surprise me if they had stood still. There are of course many other more recent offerings if anyone would care to look, I only mention Trilliant as I've posted info on them in the past. AIMO DYOR GLA
