"They should bring back masks now, stop this from getting out of hand" - little, meet chicken; chicken, meet little.
Relax people, if you're vaxed, party on.
Cruis, also consider the collateral damage. Kids and their development, treatment for every other condition other than Covid, the destruction of the economy that pays for the NHS, etc etc. The list is very long. We all need to get a grip. There is no magic money tree....
Cruis, the NHS staff have done rather well from the Covid gravy train. Its no surprise they are crying foul. Every winter at this time there is a bed crisis. Time we moved on and accepted Covid is here to stay. We are at the stage of a bad flu year. So, do what we do in bad flu years. Get the jab, try and be sensible. Not stop humans from being humans. We all need to get a grip. ATB
I’m also going to Cuba in December, it’s already been cancelled twice
Totally agree cruis, I'm on Tinder and POF, full facial...:-)
They should bring back masks now, stop this from getting out of hand
I was actually replying to lapdowns statement. Didn’t they rule out a lockdown, just before the 2nd & third lockdown ?
Sick of it really.
Moan moan moan.
What about the 100s of thousands each year that get admitted for strokes, cancer, heart attacks, they never moaned like this before.
Coming up for 2 years soon, are we going to have restrictions every winter now until the end of time???
Cruis, NHS have urged for plan B , not BJ.
And Javid has dismissed implemting it.
Also another lockdown is ruled out .
Deaths & hospitalisations are down seriously?
Coronavirus latest as UK reports 49,139 new cases and 179 deaths; hospitalisations up in every part of England; Boris Johnson is warned there is "overwhelming evidence" Plan B restrictions such as masks and social distancing should be imposed; Sajid Javid holding news conference from 5pm.
*deterred*
Us Jocks still to wear masks, it doesn't seem to have detected audiences.
Deaths and hospitalisations are both down - for anyone interested.
I don't think people have quite worked this out yet either. If we ever do revert back to any compulsion in having to wear face masks thats actually a good thing for cinemas. Last time all cinema chains in the UK had to adhere they provided an exemption whilst you were eating or drinking in the cinema. AMC then went on to report a 44% increase in concession sales of food and drink and we reported similar improvement.
"...consolidated food and beverage revenues per patron, up 44.1% over that same statistic of the second quarter of 2019..."
Reference Dune,
I think you ought to take a look at the 7.15p.m Imax showings at our Cineworld Leicester Square Cineworld for each of the following nights:
Opening night tomorrow Thursday (21st),
Friday night (22nd) and
Saturday night (23rd).
Imax showings. 7.15p.m. when most would go for an evening out. £23 a time normal price.
Note also. These are just pre-bookings online and do not account for anybody walking in off the street and trying to buy a ticket.
(small trader if your around maybe you can screen shot opening night in 2 shots, or indeed any of the others)
Booked my own tickets and it looks like its another people have waited a long time to see.
