Fair comment's Mr B.
Possibly spread risk and earn interest by utilising fiat, Kinesis & project development?

Possibly consider playing safe 50% split between fiat & bullion , or even Kinesis?

Why do we never seem to get the Nasdaq /Dow bounce when they have recovered, but we always get the hammering!!
Just asking generally.
Equities in Europe traded mostly higher in the premarket on Friday ahead of the European Union, Germany, and the United Kingdom's latest reports on services and manufacturing. The bloc will also release an update on its consumer confidence, while Britain will see one on retail sales. Earlier, GfK said British consumer confidence reached its strongest level since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in May.
The DAX traded 0.12% higher at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 advanced by 0.27%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 stood flat.
The euro gained 0.07% against the dollar at 8:01 am CET to sell for $1.22365. A minute later, the pound stood flat against the greenback, changing hands for $1.41952.

Happy Friday y’al
Govt is always lagging miles behind private innovation- crypto appeared outside regulation and as regulation begins another thing will come along and so on and so on- enjoy the ride, there will always be things in life that are not controllable and regulated thank god :-)
Abstract
Metals are currently almost exclusively extracted from their ore via physical excavation. This energy-intensive process dictates that metal mining remains among the foremost CO2 emitters and mine waste is the single largest waste form by mass. We propose a new approach, electrokinetic in situ leaching (EK-ISL), and demonstrate its applicability for a Cu-bearing sulfidic porphyry ore. In laboratory-scale experiments, Cu recovery was rapid (up to 57 weight % after 94 days) despite low ore hydraulic conductivity (permeability = 6.1 mD; porosity = 10.6%). Multiphysics numerical model simulations confirm the feasibility of EK-ISL at the field scale. This new approach to mining is therefore poised to spearhead a new paradigm of metal recovery from currently inaccessible ore bodies with a markedly reduced environmental footprint.

Imagine the possibilities...
Real gold that is not the pieces of paper

At the end of this.
Is governments will all issue cryptos, for control.
Like US in the near future ,today stated more than $10.000 transfer needs reporting to IRS.
Goodbye, unregulated ,unbacked, Crypos's.
Unfortunately the US is nowhere near this as they admit.
Nor have they got the gold to back it, more than likely.
So the result, if you don't know.
Is a serios question ,of why is the dollar still credible as a stable world reserve currency.
Who has been amassing the physical, it does not take the informed a mili second to know.
Both have cryptos backed by gold in advances stages.
Good night ,or morning all.
Well this doesn't bode well for crypto.

If the $330m was held in gold billion instead of dollars and the world gold price crashed, the company share price would pass all the other gold miners on its way into the ground.
For all we know the 350million,is either invested or they could have bought gold.
Either way the Financial Director has has the power and duty to safeguard shareholder assets.
They certainly are not stupid.
Not wort worrying about ,it will soon be spent ,there is the real value, fluidity, no borrowing.
Investing in the future.
Re: 'not showing faith in the company's own product'
Why single out a gold miner's inventory? Same silly criticism could be said of any commodity producer - coffee beans, oil, iron ore, lumber, silver...
Corporations producing commodities are not investment banks - shareholders would not expect Weyerhaeuser, Dole or Exxon to speculate with capital reserved for normal course business purposes. Besides, it's ridiculous to assert that gold is immune to manipulation or downward momentum.
It is a good point. Perhaps, and this is a guess, it may be out og CEY's control because gold has to be refined and sold.
Not reallt sure.
New high of the day and bouncing!
Good point!
Slight Dip in line with this being ex divi today, standard move . gold price still rising so i expect this to rise back up again tomorrow or next week. Still lagging behind the rise on gold by a distance.
Have a close look at ETH if you haven’t already. I am not a tech expert so a lot of it is over my head, but the potential of the programmable properties is similar to a new internet. I am still in big profit on my position despite the drop (over 4x in under a year) but can see an even bigger upside. There is risk but that is something one must accept with high potential return, DYOR & good luck.
Cheers

Have added News24 to my routine list.
Sotolo et al probably treat it from habit.
Would like to get better grasp on the region.
Would like to think CAPD are very busy there.
Hi Mr Tibbles, I certainly did refer to Joe in those terms and his handout just confirms that. Madness. You tickle me Mr Tiibbles lol with your little digs.
Can any of the ex mining operators on this board tell me if there is any legal requirement that the company should hold its monetary assets as fiat rather than as gold inventory. I was just wondering how much the US$330m would be worth today if it had been held as gold rather than a depresiating asset of $ in a bank, I put it at over US$500m but currently US$330 with a decreasing purchasing value of US$250m. It does not show faith in the companies own product to hold fiat in its place.
Gold is about to fly!!!
That should read 'make believe' assets, I believe.
I've got square eyes today!
