Hey Carrington we’ve already had this conversation about the nhs.
To paraphrase talk is cheap and when it came down to it the Conservative party of the day (including Churchill) voted against it
Quite right poundas#it. As you say, you’re completely out of touch and living in a past that never existed. It would be a mercy.
Redpete that's only way Corbyn would win this election. Us 50 year olds can still remember the power cuts, the strikes and the 12 month wait to have a phone installed.
Well since I have been a proud owner of BT I am down 9.0%. Being stupid I was looking for a stable dividend aristocrat. Just wondering though... why do most folk hold stocks that are not growing and stand to lose capital? Say as with the likes of Imperial and the banks share prices are down on 5 years ago. But people keep the shares throughout.
Yeah, and if we shoot people when they get to fifty we’ll be sorted.
Great point RedPete.
The sooner we get Brexit done and get a tighter control of immigration the less of a burden it will have on our NHS.
Back in the real world, who gets credit for a 4 year old with pneumonia having to sleep on the floor of a & e?
Actually Aus no - the NHS was the Tories idea - Henry Willink the Tory MP and Minister for Health produced the report re the NHS which culminated in the Beverage report which formed the basis of the NHS - Labour always like to take the credit for it as Bevan implemented it but the idea was Tory based
Hey Pete, just popped in for a quick nap? Betty should go check what a small amount of gold we had in reserve to understand what a small hole that must have been. Then to find out brown didn’t spend it on anything but used it to gain interest.... which gold doesn’t. Probably wasn’t a good thing to do overall, but hardly something worthwhile to argue about, unless of course you believe the ridiculous propaganda on grubby web sites.
Zzzzz
They, The socialists, sold the hospitals off because they were cash strapped. A quick gain to fill the massive black hole they created. Now we are still picking up the tab. They also sold half our gold at rock bottom prices for same reason- Labour had bankrupted us again.
Corbyn is a disaster, even his own MP`s don`t want him.
Aus. You have made some important points today, others have vigorously disagreed with you. I am not going to take sides between you and those you have exchanged increasingly heated posts with, But maybe it's time to take it a little less personal. You are never going to convince those you are debating with, at some point you have to let it go, you were in the forces,so you know well it's not the battle you need to win, it's the war. Nothing wrong with strong views, just know when you are hitting your head against the wall.
LT a Camper van, even I thaught you could do better than that, bloody things causing tail backs on the roads !!!
Oh it’s the Labour Party & socialism
So as you picked it. Obviously you realise socialism gave us the NHS. So is that kind of socialism okay? Or not ?
The point being it was a Labour gov. Or can your slanted twisted view of things rearrange this in your world.
AW - I agree, is there any news about BT this side of the election?. It’s such a big deal for BT.
Bertram - selling off hospitals is the opposite to socialism. As you obviously think this is a bad thing, you’re actually arguing for Corbyn policies because he would be doing the exact opposite
I’d like to think you know you’re arguing against yourself, but I already know how confused you are about everything.
Let's just leave the Corbyn shi*e until Friday morning.
Labour and Blair sold our hospitals off. It now costs us £4 billion a year to rent them back. Why don`t people learn socialism does not work. Now just wait till Corbyns been around for a while. Make that 3$billion look like pocket change.
I think we both know where all this self loathing is village. I’d like to add soulless, embittered & pathetically selfish.
The likes of me village? So you think others are self serving?
I really think the mask is falling off again village. I’m sorry to see the ugly side of the leave vote, it always comes out in the end
Have you started to day dream concentration camps again village?
Why limit it to people who you think are lazy?
I for accept people like that exist in our society, but recognise there’s also plenty of people who deserve support
Trouble with trying to weed out the bad ones (as you would see it) is the decent people always get caught up in the nonsense. I’d rather not see decent people suffer because of a few bad eggs
Well thought through village. That’s case for me, I can work any where.
But one I stop thinking the world revolves around me, I can understand moving somewhere like ummmmmm, London from day ummmmmm Blackpool for a low paid job isn’t really possible is it?
In fact moving from somewhere to anywhere for low paid jobs (probably zero hours) doesn’t really work either
Can you imagine a world that’s not you village?
Here comes the real loon. I’m afraid gentlemen (I use that term loosely) & village that you have far more in common with scheleiel than I do
That more than anything should be a worry
Of course Fleccy - i myself may find myself in exactly that position where I can use a zero hour type contract to increase my time at home.
The reality though is in deprived areas, people don’t have a choice of employment so the picture you paint is not correct
Where these contracts exist, for example sea side towns they are open to abuse in lots of ways.
I would guess the people you choose to describe wouldn’t allow themselves to be screwed & in many cases a good thing
But there no doubt these contracts cause misery for the flip side of the coin you use as a one sided example
I think this is nearer the truth for the majority of zero hour contract users, there are example of only 4 and a half hours work.

Do not underestimate how dangerous Marxist Labour actually is. This isn't the Labour party pre-1970's, this is a rancid vessel of filth with the moniker 'Labour' on the front. Corbyn's been abusing real Labour's history for years. he and his slime conceal their true aims behind old Labour's history when Labour was a party of morality, decency and social conservatism
Always remember Attlee was a vehement Anti-Marxist
