The drill needs funding... this day to ****** on here is just annoying.. hold or sell.. end of
I thought the drill was funded already
Because he sold up at a much lower price and is just angry to see it go a lot higher.
The Muir, the point is that they are now saying that they had not prepared for Covid and that $5 mil more may be needed to cover this and “Stena breaking down costs”.
Either they lied regarding previous costing or they are incompetent in planning. Both don’t sound great.
Jdam: "Why"?
Because they guy hasn't got a clue with his 5 post history. Not a shareholder but cares to post here? Suspicious to me. Filtered.
I’m holding, thanks for replying.
Why?
I'm here for the results of drilling... thats whats going to make us money... its bad news for the day traders...

2.50p, even then i would not touch this with a bargepole.
Thanks Plutus. I always believed they would need the extra funds to drill a second well, but I am sure I am not alone on that. The present cash didn't allow for much room. So to the CLN doesn't come as a surprise due to covid extra costs. The well potential when materialised IMHO should offset any concerns here and place us in a better position. BPC isn't going to the Bahamas to enjoy the sea, sun and sand. We are going to drill there for big oil reserves so that costs money. That, by the way, doesn't eliminate the chance of Stena jumping in in the potential returns if they take up last minute part of the drill costs and neither is a last minute farm in. Nevermind if they don't as the extra shares will not be of a concern should we find the oil. I remain patient here. Let's see what the drill bit tells us.
GLA and DYOR.
What do you mean the muir? That this RNS doesn’t matter if we hit oil? Thanks, was hoping for a good bloody day today. ??
We hit oil and hunderds of billions... jesus
It would be good to hear from Starchild on all this as there seems to be a lot of bluster going on
Thats actually the only thing I have agreed with you on, why now, should of been 14 days ago, bod need to look at themselves, very poor management in my view, now i’m nervous, what next!!!
CarsCoffee, remember that BPC are not preparing the CPR. Also, once received BPC will need to review it. Small point, but an important one nonetheless.
Top up at 2.5
I hope Simon is not mates with Stephen Sanderson.
On AHSV's (know nothing about rigs..)
I spent most of my time in Cunard cargo fleet (when they had one!) and then worked for the last 6 years in the North Sea oil industry, all I can say is I wouldn't want to be working in those confines now without strict covid precautions
Why are all calcs being done at $50 a barrel ? Whatever they find will be worth hugely less than that surely at around $5-$7 a barrel in the ground then there will be extraction, transportation and storage costs plus any percentage going to farm in partners. I never get how PI's equate the outcome to the market value it's like turning up with a Ferrari engine and asking for the full car price for it?
harry we look forward to your detailed report since you must have already written to BPc to ask them for a full breakdown of the increased costs. Also did you get any response from you asking them about all the other issues you raised in the past 5 days ? Watch the Maersk https://youtu.be/JBY6cpWzbFg drillship story that will give you an idea of how much goes into this stuff, watch kevin okyere story here https://www.linkedin.com/posts/stena-drilling_the-greatest-accomplishment-is-not-in-never-activity-6732220348886056960-xYHu Its not drilling a hole through your brick wall for a cable.
Worn out after following bpc for 5months
Had same for 10 years, how do you think i feel Gggghhhgggghhhggg gg
Planning, preparation, prevents p1ss poor performance.
I’m offshore now, UKCS, a socially distanced rig, no pre-mob quarantine, tested night before, one hotel night, no cases onboard....
Total rubbish DavidBrent, I’ve worked offshore all this year. Each trip we quarantine for 3-7 days all depended on who the client was. I know of 2 companies who like you are suggesting , did not quarantine and went all gun hoe! First project didn’t even get past the project meeting as they had 6 positive results but had already started mixing the crew. The 2nd project they got the guys to “self quarantine” but then use commercial flights to get them to Norway resulting in Covid ripping through the ship to the point where if the vessel had lost 1 more crew member on the bridge then they would have had to go to port and wait it out. As for social distancing on a ship.....you’ve obviously never worked offshore as that is impossible to implement.
