Yes, looking up... The SP is sinking like a stone.
Patience is a virtue. The economic cycles will spin, too slowly for some. But... They are starting to spin back towards BOD.
Looks like our seller is preparing to let the price go anywhere
Bailing out at any price.
Have a read of this, https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2024/02/lab-grown-diamond-revolution-wont-happen/677378/?gift=mZJJfvLLK2-N-97mYsXvtztMjpszZSkNt0bY33Gpivk&utm_source=copy-link&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=share
You will see events unfolding that we allow the BOD share price to rise, and potentially in the future, become multiples.
I do wonder if the share price will recover in the next year?
But as I’m still invested, I sincerely hope so.
Think this may start to run back higher now
Imagine if de Beers come in and partner with BOD on a major JV. Would make complete sense though based on their synergies
Yes JPW makes an excellent point.
And having spoken to James Campbell, recently, regarding whether we are vulnerable or not to take over, he stated that there was nothing ‘corporate activity wise’, which would suggest someone is looking at us as a takeover target.
So much of BOD is held by family and 'friends', that it would need to see multiples of the current SP to even have a possible take over. Many realise, that are invested here, this is not an overnight up or down share, but one that can, if the market changes as predicted, see many multiples of SP in the future (years, not months).
De Beers have been mentioned in numerous articles about Botswana Diamonds. That really would be something. Feels too cheap at sub £5m Market Cap. Any hint of a catalyst and its going to see some significant upside

As per JCs post on Linked In. Gives a flavour of the long timelines, the level of expertise that BOD has and the phenomenal return to patient shareholders.
Off radar. All time lows. Unloved. A few decent RNSs recently that have been largely missed
JV deal with major global diamond producer close to conclusion could send this back above 1p sharpish
primed
Worth a read here: https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/commodities/diamond-prices-engagement-ring-carat-value-outlook-recession-mining-supply-2024-1
Demand from investors could account for around 15% of all available diamonds on earth, or around $180 billion worth of the stones, Kinney estimates, extrapolating based on investor demand for other commodities. Combined with rising demand and falling supply, that could send diamond prices shooting higher over the coming decades.
Kinney didn't have an exact price target, but pointed to gold as a comparison. Gold prices have rocketed over 500% since 2003, the year gold became easily tradeable in an ETF.
"Over 20 years, I expect diamond prices to go up substantially," he said.
One thing is for sure, the share price is dying a slow painful death until we receive any kind of meaningful update.

I didn’t attend the meeting, but I think the general gist is that won’t be doing much until time and prices recover.
Mining up at Mars has ceased given the 50% reduction we’ve seen in price of the diamond category we’ve been recovering.
Today’s announcement is certainly good news, but I’m not getting excited given where the share price currently is
Did anyone attend the AGM? If so was there much to take away from the event?
Would really love an update on Thorney River. It feels like it's been a long time since we heard anything about it.
This one as well need its own cash raises to define the find.!!!
Too many project for a small company is just like a hot potato in the mouth.
God protect us from further delution.
This is the thing with BOD, lots of various projects at different stages (as per their strategy).
Great RNS
Chairman, John Teeling, commented: "We are delighted to have been awarded this Prospecting License over the Dokowayo kimberlite pipe in Eswatini, which we applied for several years ago. The pipe was last mined a long time ago and following breakthroughs in both exploration and mining technology we are excited about Dokowayo's potential viability, especially seeing that Dokowayo is proven to contain both pink and Type IIA diamonds, which are greatly in demand and fetch amongst the very highest of diamond prices".
One thing to think on...when James Campbell found and developed the mine Lucara now have, that company African Diamonds sold for 20x it's lowest SP and 10x the price if you'd been buying at average SP. BOD is gearing up to do that again, with multiple areas, but KX36 in particular is looking very promising.
Many thanks JPW !
I’m thinking I’ll bail from this one and put it down to another 45% loss.

There was pent up demand after COVID, and it through prices artificially high, and then people seemingly thinking high prices were here to stay... then we had costs surge (oil for mining i'm told is 50% of costs) and so suddenly we had a falling Rough diamond price and extra costs to mine. Now... well we are seeing a flat to low diamond price - https://www.paulzimnisky.com/roughdiamondindex. This, should start to creep back up, if... the world economy gets inflation under control. Basically... finger to the wind, i'd say a rising diamond price through 2024, but really not until 2025 will we see it at a price we'd call good for us. Time will always tell, but BOD is positioning itself well. Not for short term gain, but in the next future years ahead (especially as LAB grown diamonds find a market similar to Luxury crystal jewellery, rather than direct competition to REAL diamonds). Though, that is my thoughts... the world will do what the world will!
Hello JPW, you seem to be very clued-up on diamond prices (along with other posters). Can I ask you of your view of WHY diamond prices are currently low. Is it because of a post-Covid financial hit to world wide economies - and crystallised carbon isn’t high on people’s agenda compared to being able to afford food? Or is it something else?
But arguably more importantly, is WHEN you think this situation might turn from bearish to bullish? Are we talking months or years do you reckon?
Thanks in advance :D
We move with the tide and... the diamond Prices. Both are low... times will change, and then we will be in a significantly good position to be buoyed high!
....but it's dead out there
