No worries Ophidian... As I said, I was thinking out load on that one...possibly due to this being in the back of my mind which popped up in my research at some point.

@Bella - I'm not trying to curb your enthusiasm or dampen the excitement, but it really doesn't work like that. Putting plant into Vanchem to make electrolyte is in all probability more complex than just building the plant at ELIDZ. Additionally, with other works to do on site at Vanchem I wouldn't want to see that complication added in. The ELIDZ build is simple, scaleable and greenfield.
I agree that supplying BMN MVO (from Vametco) or ultimately V2O5 or V2O3 (Vanchem) to a third party electrolyte manufacturer remains an easy option to exploit if required.

Orphidian.. Point taken. However, the point I was trying to make was that they have two fall back positions... Vanchem could be quick to bring on stream by installing said equipment needed rather than waiting for London to be signed off and built. Perhaps the said equipment could then be transferred over to London.. Just thinking aloud on that one. And then there's the 2nd fall back of simply cutting a deal with outside contractor/electrolyte producer.
@Bella - Vanchem has the potential for electrolyte manufacture it doesn't currently have it. And electrolyte samples were made under contract external to BMN using BMN supplied MVO.
Ophidian
Really curious to see what these contracts look like when they finally get signed. Exciting times :)
pb940... Exactly...
BMN/BE have stated they have produced electrolyte for sampling. Vanchem has electrolyte production facilities. IMO I think they would be happy to enter into an MOU or firm contract with perhaps an alternative supplier clause and inform the markets on completion of such a deal. I would be very surprised if they held back on the release of such information.
Bella6532, I assume the link is saying if the contracts are signed BMN couldn't withhold the info but I'm thinking that maybe the contracts wouldn't be signed until this part of the process had been confirmed. As madasahat says there are still some more hoops to jump through
@Madasahat - that facility is not a big build. I imagine the kit is already ordered as well.
Ophidian
Maybe but given getting the facility built will take time (@BBN - what are your thoughts on that please?) I wouldn't expect these BE contracts to align with that - personally I would have thought the RNS that confirms the plant is operational would be more logical. Once built (or once construction has commenced) BE still need to apply for an Air Emissions License so once that is granted it is all systems go. In the meantime I believe Vanchem can be used to produce electrolyte so it may well be that BE contracts could more quickly be tied into that acquisition by 31 October?
Presumably any news of BE contracts must wait for the electrolyte plant to get the go-ahead so would the RNS include any contract news I wonder.
Thanks madasahat. Looks like 2 weeks it is then to get a decision :)
@pb940, @BBN, @Ophidian et al
My contact does not have access behind the L2B paywall either but was approached by L2B and was therefore the source of the update to L2B - which was the same as provided to me i.e. the DEDEAT decision is being prioritised and would be provided within 2 weeks. This date actually took us to week ending 6th September (hence I can see why the 6th September is now showing in the date range for the project). Having discussed whether it would be published exactly on that date I took my own judgment (and it is possible it might be the next working day) I included the date of the 9th (thinking better to under promise and over deliver...!). So this update aligns with what I shared.
Cheers ophidian
@pb940 - those references you quote from the PFS refer to waste from a future processing plant, so I don't think that is what is going on. We might reasonably expect that first work on site at Mokopane would be to create the mine. That would require a Mine office etc. My guess would be the first thing would be some building works to put up an office with facilities (electric / water etc). Then an enclosure in which to safely keep the very big very expensive earth moving kit they will most probably hire in to start with.
Ophidian
So right on top of the vanadium :-)

Maybe its a tender for some large shovels, and a few dump trucks?!?!
Looking at the Mokopane PFS in the Residue Disposal Facility and Stockpiles section there is a reference as follows which maybe what the project is referring to even though the project is East and the PFS is South-east. Who knows, not me obviously.
Based on the assumption that the calcine, lime cake and sodium sulphate products will be deposited by means of trucking from the plant, the facility has been placed as close as possible to the plant (2.2 km to the southeast) to reduce haulage cost.
For info the following project was updated on the 16/08/19 and is related to Mokopane. Again not sure in what capacity but at least there are updates being made.

Mokopane in the Mokopane District in Limpopo Province. It is easily accessible via a network of paved regional and national roads. The project mineral resource is situated approximately 2 km east of the Company’s PQ - Zone iron ore and titanium deposit, and is based on a licence area comprising a group..
Certainly feels like it's close doesn't it. We watch and wait...…….
Ophidian
Yes, he mentioned a meeting and been put back a couple of weeks
Ophidian if I do a google search which shows the project in the results it has a date range from 2 Nov 2018 to 6 Sep 2019 which may coincide with what @Madasahat mentioned yesterday
@pb940 - it may have been lost in all the rubbish from yesterday but @Madasahat gave an update on this and keeps a pretty weathered eye on the progress. Thanks for the nudge tho'
Ophidian
Been keeping an eye on this for a while and noticed that the Last Updated date was changed yesterday 21/08/19
Might not be anything, but you never know.
