I think/hope it will get there, that's why I'm still here. The near-term problem that I see, is that investors have been stuck in for a long time, so when we see progress, 20p/30p etc, good long-term investors might be tempted to reduce or even exit because they are sick of the sight of this. I hope that they, and I, can find the patience to see this through - because it could still be a generational find, in the end.
And before people accuse me of being negative, the benefit is that IF BMN pull it off, you'll be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams for holding tight.
Excellent post Cindercone. To think that Musk would bother spending his time attempting to sabotage a technology which is going to have such a small percentage of the market (at this time) is madness.
I said it before come out we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The rock is AIM PI'S who want to be rich tomorrow.... Sorry, we don't offer that anymore. The hard place is institutional investment, dividends and the main market... We are a fair way from there still too unfortunately.
Bushveld is going to have to do things the hard way, making the money first... Because the market either doesn't believe it will, or doesn't have the patience to take a position and wait.
Lithium and VRFBs are not competing technologies - Mojapelo said it himself. The battery storage industry will require a range of technologies - no one technology dominates any space. To suggest BMN is targeted by the 'evil' Musk is conspiracy theory hogwash born out of ignorance or deception.
The reason for the drift is that the company has over-promised and underdelivered, there's no news, profits are minimal at current V prices. What happened to the Eskom BESS tender - the dream sold by long-term investors? It appears to be dead in the water, and those LTHs have all disappeared because they don't like being told they're wrong.
Unless FM pulls a rabbit out of the hat, we're going to have to play the long game. That's the price you pay for getting into a nascent industry. Shorters have their grubby tentacles in almost every AIM stock that is perceived to be underperfoming, overbought or just sitting there in a news vacuum.
The shorting of the stock should make absolutely no difference to the operational performance of the company. They are not directly connected. People make think that a low sp may inhibit possible future financial arrangements, but we have managed to get some fairly expensive debt agreements in place (Orion/Duferco) before this, the South African junk status (Moodys et al) will also be more of a factor.
Yes.. there you go @loudspeaker.. we can only guess at the levels of 'intervention' these billionaires are puppetmasters.. don't for one second think they are not.
@BigBucks.. I agree FM will be well aware.. I commented some time ago that he will have been shocked at what he discoverd when he elevated to his current status.. and now he has to manage the situation he finds himself in. I cannot even begin to speculate on the options open to him and he has to play a strategic game.. I would also be minded to think this goes some way to explain the shift in comms..
Metatron, like you I believe something is not quite right here but also believe that the company knows exactly what's going on. I just don't know why they are not trying to correct it!
Check it out, the day GSA Capital Partners LLP opened their short on us, they increased their shareholding in Tesla.
Coincidence that is was after the CRUX interview when Matthew pressed FM for an opinion on the huge lithium-ion battery fire that was raging for 4 days in Australia at the time.
We also know that Musk has personally intervened and has had derogatory lithium-ion articles pulled from green energy storage websites, this being confirmed by the author of one of them.
The links and evidence are all available in the telegram group.
Excellent post @loudspeaker.. I like everyone else have watched in disbelief how our SP has unfolded and I always try and take several steps back to see a bigger picture.
I'm glad you mentioned shorts and Tesla in the same sentence.. because for a long time now it's been apparent to me that someone with very deep pockets and powerful influence has been all over this.. I just haven't said anything because of the usual abuse but..
If I am correct and Musk is the name.. then it's not about losing some cash.. that's just small change.. it's totally strategic and he can do whatever he wants.
Just my observation bin it if you want..
Nearly all of these energy storage planning applications in the UK, we class as LUS, (lithium unless stated).
Good find..... You can only stick so much lipstick on a pig.
Not only that, the lithium ion safety record world-wide especially in South Korea with thermal runway fires is appalling.
Only a matter of time before a catastrophic human fatalitiy occurs and they become uninsureable..
GLA capital who are shorting us atm are a major Tesla shareholder and know what's coming.
Planning applications for energy storage in the UK don't state what the battery technology is and only the initial small MWH installation with no mention of the planned upscale, ( under the radar stuff). I am involved in a group who monitor every planning energy storage application in the UK.
Stable door legislation is imminent as the large scale lithium-ion disaster's come to insurance attention.
This may sound alarmist but I assure you atm the cover up of what's happening with large scale lithium-ion batteries around the world and the fires is very real and frightening.
Check out what gasses are released when on fire and what the fire fighting protocol is
I spent 30 years as a fireman and believe me this is different gravy.
