There was a self published website built by someone whom nobody has ever heard of on the godaddy website builder (£4.99 per month) that was riddled with spelling and grammatical errors claiming that he setup a deal between Bids and a whole host of massive players.
This person is UK based and doesn’t trade through a limited company, so even if his business was old enough to require accounts to be filed with companies house (which it isn’t) he doesn’t have to legally because he is a sole trader and will submit a self assessment instead...
Completely unverifiable credentials and questionable credence... I wouldn’t bother wasting your time to be honest. I did and it’s 30 minutes of my life I will never get back.
Yes harboo obvious, Norwich are clambering to get that in game pr they need so badly.. That's exactly what they need from sponsorships, not money... An advert in dirt racer. Mindless bullishness is as dangerous as mindless bearishness I happen to know Jimmy Wilson and others have been very fair with their comments in the past. Can anyone suggest where I should start to catch up on these EA rumours? I noticed the link was down. I'm going to do some research this week and decide whether to increase my position I haven't really kept up to date for the past few months.
Ill be honest, I think I'm being realistic more than negative I think we have a tenancy on this bb to want to only hear positive things said about the business and I get that. I totally get its annoying when somebody deramps continuously for a long time, you wonder about motive. I think over the years I've provided a very balanced view and I am still positive about bids otherwise I wouldn't risk my money. I don't think we should shoot down anyone who isn't entirely bullish all the time. But that being said I do need to catch up on what's happened recently and I am considering actually increasing my stake here.
Fair advice Mniy. I agree, on the face of it, the Norwich sponsor seemed to be a bit rich coming from a company that is essentially pre revenue, building out on investor money.
The links to EA are more than just rumours now though, and EA is pretty much THE best game publisher bids could hope to be working with. Trust went after last year and rightly so, but that doesn't mean they still won't deliver h2 this year.
Mniy I acknowledge you have been here longer than most, me, I've been off trying to make a Crust but have managed to maintain my holding here. What I don't get is if your on a free ride why all the negativity? As always with respect to someone who has been here a long time.
helx - you've had a good run but tide is turning now. Your negative messages continually looking backwards are going to look more and more ridiculous as the days go on. EA are clearly testing with bidstack. Bidstack spelled it out in an RNS but nobody believed it.
You have had a good run. The tide is now coming in. Change alias or just sod off altogether, save yourself some face.
I admit I haven't been following closely recently and I hope you're right. You will know Jimmy that these rumours have been circulating for a long time and as a large holder I have to stay realistic and not overly bullish. When you become emotionally attached to a stock you lose touch with reality and lose money. I still really believe in this business model, frictionless growth, scalability and a thriving industry. My worry is JD sponsors vanity projects like the one today where he announces sponsorship of his team with shareholders money that he continues to spend placing after placing diluting every shareholder. We've made some great strides over the years. Deals with dsps, new advertising categories and big name advertisers but the sales team have as yet not manged to generate any virtually revenue at all, this company bleeds money and it can't last forever. Revenue hasn't grown at all. Furthermore we have failed to secure any major game contracts for a long time now, we've working with a few developers but our competitors are gaining ground daily with big name deals such as ubisoft. Word to the wise for those who haven't been here long, until you see an rns don't believe anything you hear. To conclude I likely won't sell out of bids, I sold enough in the 20s to cover my initial investment and I do still think this could be the seed that grows into a tree. If they pull it ofc bids could become a huge huge success but stay grounded.
I fully agree Mniy. The wise amongst us have heard it all before and unless there's an RNS stating a fantastic deal with EA (which there won't be) and some brilliant revenue figures (which there most definitely won't be) I'll not believe one bit of it. Same ole waffle and dreams, just a different month.
Mniy, I've been invested before the placing you participated in and links to EA have never been so strong. It will be a nice surprise when it lands if you haven't been following closely.
Well excuse me for not being excited as I said I've heard this 100 times before, bids is the type of stock you need to cut through the bull****. When we get an rns stating they're working with EA I will be a very happy man.
Someone missed the news, it’s not about Norwich It’s about Bidstack, Greenhouse Group, VW, EA and UFC3
What is the confirmation of EA news, I have heard this 20+ times over the past year and a half? I would love to be pleasantly surprised though.
Very glad to see this up today but let me tell you lth patience has anything but paid off, I was a member of the first placing at double this price, without us they wouldn't even have a business. There will be people on here who will remember I've been a great supported of bids financially and on this board and I still own a considerable amount (although much less than originally). I do worry that many new members here are falling into the same trap as many before have. Many won't remember but Bids sponsored Norwich before they IPOd and it did absolutely nothing for brand awareness, jd support Norwich and its a vanity move at the expense of shareholders and I'm not impressed by it personally.
What EA News?.....maybe that was an announcement on planet bidliever. There's a lovely picture of Draper on twitter, holding a Norwich city shirt with another gent. Draper has either had too much sun or is still very embarrassed about the 80% drop in share price....or maybe his Auntie has paid him a visit and given those ole chops a good squeeze.
Feels like a great time to be a bidstack shareholder. LTH's patience is looking like it will pay off. All the clues and breadcrumbs are setting more and more in concrete by the day.
Frictionless scaleability of the business model in an untapped net new ad category means the mcap could go anywhere.
Confirmed news about EA broke at 4:20 and only just started to impact the SP at close, most taking profits were unaware. How unlucky for those.
This is going back to the 20s-30s no doubt
