As others have said I'm not worried about immediate Stadia launch titles as Stadia will be a niche product to begin with for those willing to try new technology. I compare it to the very first time Netflix was launched. It was a niche cutting edge new technology that people didn't jump to en mass or maybe believe it would work but now I don't know anyone who doesn't have it (and so disrupted several industries along the way).
FM and Grid games are currently played 100% across PC and all the consoles (phone?). That is tens of millions of devices already live and capable. I have no doubt Stadia will get up to speed sooner than people expect and add to the ad royalties with unlimited potential.
I'd have bought it myself if I didn't have such a huge backlog of PC games in my Steam library. No worries here, we're just waiting for news for the next leg up. I've been topping up on these dips (almost feels like stealing lol). GLALTH's
Actually tree I get that.
How people had a wii as a second consoles to PlayStation and x box.
For the platform to truly be adopted by the masses though, especially as a second console, the games must be on a Netflix/Spotify format.
If this happens I suspect google will smash the console market. If not I think it will just be a challenger to the consoles.
Girdz - stadia will appeal to some just because it is new hardware, par for the course for big new gaming hardware to sell out.
It is a pretty thin release line up lacking a killer title but it is very cheap compared to most new console releases. PS5 and whatever Microsoft Knock out next year could be 3 times (or more) at release, and won't have that many games (for sure more than one exclusive though).
Some gamers might get stadia as a cheap second gaming device to play on multiple screens easily and will be curious to see if you can genuinely stream HD gaming......
Of course we'll be getting news before Christmas Girdz ....and it'll be darn good news too. JD has said that he plans on giving us all a good holiday period (or something like that anyway). He's delivered up to now...why would he let us all down at this critical stage?
Helx - in terms of thumbs in pies. Hope that’s the case but would like to see some material news from BIds.
5 weeks to Xmas - are we going to get any news to bring festive happiness like JD said?
Good conversation on here compared to other board.
Having just looked on stadia FM20 and Grid will be released soon after.
Forgetting those two titles for the minute I can’t see why any one would rush out to get stadia bearing in mind the 12 release titles are all old and only one is exclusive.
I actually think it takes the biscuit that people have probably pre ordered the equipment and they are not getting anything exciting on day of the release.
Back to grid - read that grid has 40 car race that is only possible on stadia platform. Cannot be down on PS4 Xbox or pc. That’s pretty exciting for bids and ads seen
I personally don't see this as affecting the longer term share price,as Bidstack can certainly join the party after the doors have opened.....and most likely will. Also,i would imagine that JD hasn't been foolish enough to count his chickens before they've hatched. He'll no doubt have fingers in many other pies too.....alongside his experienced team.
Are they in launch or not?
Stadia is actually a great proposition isn't it?! I might sign up myself as I don't own console but keen to play Red Dead Redemption!
