Tudorjohn - 1) possibly 2) possibly 3) no - market priced in doesn’t have to wait until the day that shares are issued. 4) not huge volume so probably not. I will add 5) market conditions and associated political mess means that cash sitting on sidelines 6) Secker not accomplished communicator or leader and expects investors to seek him out rather than the other way around. I have been here for almost 2 years grinding my teeth and will sit here for longer believing that despite a less than stellar CEO IMO we can benefit from the quality of the assets and new bedfellow.
What’s happening is it
1. Mm shakedown
2. Lack of funding certainty.
3. Dilution after 18th
4. Profit takers reducing the price
Or what ?
The price was miles higher after the second part of the deal was announced. No logic to AIM
That's all it is. Forward sell, place, shaft until Joe Blogg punters have been fleeced. Then bemoan that volumes are low, then to resolve low volume short/mark down to stimulate buying, and rinse/repeat. No winners, just PIs with progressively less until they give up and clear off.
If this was anywhere near highs (52 week, all time, even those of the summer) prior to the news, you could appreciate a little "buy the rumour, sell the news", but this is just a joke. There's been no rally on the rumour, its sold off due to the uncertainty of the delays. And its the same of stunts all across the "market".
Thank goodness for Vast & Prem up 10% & 50% also on AIM otherwise could have been hari - kari time with BCN. Skimmed a little bit at 41p but will now wait for longeR term prospects which will come to those who are patient.
No such thing as good news in this ****ty market... Alternative rip off market
I think there have a fair few 5% ers at play taking a quick profit here. I have begun to believe this is the only thing to do on AIM...
Happy to see a steady rise here as confidence builds and further news comes through. I think this one may have been knocked off a lot of peoples radar after many false dawns and missed targets. In the long term now Garfeng are on board this is only going to go one way despite Secker.
However you could look at it that we have received £21,963,740 of funds from Ganfeng in exchange for 57,600,364 shares in BCN and a 22.5% interest in the Sonora Lithium Project. Also what will Zinnwald be worth?
The market seems to be completely underwhelmed by today's RNS.
"The Bacanora project team in Mexico continues to progress the final design work for the mine, concentrator and kiln sections of the processing plant. The Ganfeng technical team has initiated work on the hydrometallurgical circuit and is reviewing sourcing key sections of the lithium production equipment from current equipment suppliers in China".
Work will be well advanced in reviewing the costings to bring to production. This I believe will give a further boost to the SP along with some timescales for revenue. The Chinese are clearly gearing up for battery production to help capitalise on the coming boom. Once costings are known then any capital raise will follow. Germany might be news which arrives in the meantime. All positive here imho.
Great news for the company, which, over time and subject to the full funding package being put in place, will lead to the creation of real shareholder value.
For those of you asking why the market has reacted in a "muted" fashion, the answer has to be that the placing price is 25p. Only very rarely do you see a premium to a placing value and in some ways, it's quite remarkable that there is one here.
Anyway, well done to all those long termers who've stuck this out and I hope you all get the return you deserve.
So on the completion of the investment, BCN can't even reach the heady heights of one month ago, when the deal completion was overdue and investors were nervy and wobbly? Lol.
You couldn't make it up. AIM becomes more and more uninvestable by the day - anyone any guesses as to how much it would have been slaughtered this morning had the deal fallen through? The risk versus reward on about everything in this market is utterly abysmal, and city spivs have just destroyed this market for their own greed.
