Not if there is no uptake on the monitoring system
Joker on track and trace actually the fact that its bad makes frequent mass testing all the more imperative. That should be obvious to anyone who understands how frwquent mass trsting works.
And this is exactly the kind of dialogue we all want from this board. We kind of disagree but we both accept we don’t really know. The stooges clogging up the board with pictures of houses for the CEO should take note.
Not sure you're barking up the wrong tree - I don't think any of us know which trees to bark up, and whether barking will help:-)
I have been invested here since the spring and back then, I thought the opportunity was for commercial organizations to offer lfd tests to allow the economy to reopen - get into shops, stadiums, theatres, airports, cruise ships etc and costs would be built in. People want to do all these things and would pay and tolerate the costs and inconvenience (do you remember when they first asked us to turn up at an airport 2 hours before we were due to fly and go through heavy security - all normal now). Recently the talk with Covid testing been government & moonshot, but it's a moving target.
We have no models / experience to help us with what's happening now, and therefore predictions are not of high value.
I think I kind of agree with you - you go with gut feel - my gut feel is to stay in for some while longer and see if Avacta will make this work. I appreciate that you may come back in. My view is that the rewards for staying in now are greater and the risks are ok (for me) - who knows which view is right :-)
Got 3 likes there lad well done
Not sure why you’re insisting on calling me out, but crack on. You claimed there are warning signs but haven’t posted any, so it seems Joker is apt. Point made and proven. Nothing has changed, he’s buying a house with a tiny proportion of his shares. The share price has barely wobbled and it’ll soon be forgotten when the real newsflow turns up. Anyway, as Chengdo said, there’s little point in wasting time on here with your type, but you seemed like a fan girl so I thought I’d give you the response treat you were after. Have fun xx
I posted that to my shares WhatsApp group earlier so apologies if it doesn’t flow with what I was saying earlier - saves rewriting it
Hi SJ. Completely appreciate your viewpoint and couldn’t say you are wrong. However, my thoughts from the complete failure of track and trace which relate to the hypothesised spit test with phone app as many have proposed (which is the only way a home test could work) are as follows:
The other thing to bear in mind is the lack of uptake in track and trace. British folk don’t like the idea of being tracked by someone or something. If the idea behind Avacta’s test is for joe public to buy themselves and use at home then that must mean that:
a) they obviously have to buy the test themselves - that’s an issue as opposed to govt orders like NCYT have taken which are golden geese.
b) it must be linked to some kind of track and trace app that shows you are ‘clean’ so you can go to the pub or whatever and do thinks Han**** and the rest of the animal farm crew don’t want you to do without their say so.
I may well be completely barking up the wrong tree but I have some serious nagging doubts about the different signals we are seeing. I will continue to monitor though and would have absolutely no shame in admitting I am wrong in a few weeks (and I hope I am)
as I know some of you have large positions in this
JokerDC, what you don't seem to understand is that there was no board before the likes of PL and this etc came along.
Wilson.
Thanks for feeding back.
Not sure I agree about your view on uptake of track & trace - my view is the T&T process & execution is clearly poor but the main constraints are (1) logistics of sending tests off to labs and therefore delays in returning results, and (2) the need for nasal / throat swabs and how unpalatable they are. My belief is both the constraints will disappear with a LFD saliva test (hope the process & execution can catch up). My main concerns are (1) competition - maybe Mologic but no info on how far advanced they are and I agree with the long term posters here that the market should be big enough for many LFD solutions. The other, more significant concern I have is how easy is it to produce an LFD solution that is repeatably consistent across millions of tests.
We will find out soon enough
You see what you and the gang (PL etc) clearly don’t understand is that before the likes of you came along there were people that commented on these boards that genuinely want to offer their thoughts rather than crying “ramper/deramper”. If you disagree either ignore what I say or offer an alternative viewpoint - that’s what these boards should be for. If not then go back to Facebook
You also clearly don’t understand the concept of a Lombard loan. Google it
Should get a few likes lad ??
I'm so glad you're spending your valuable time looking out for fellow PI's so late in the evening whilst there's nothing in it for you. So noble.
Even Batman thinks you're a good egg afterall.
Meanwhile there's a new villain in town, EvilAl_CEO. Public enemy. Worked hard all his life until one morning deciding to sell shares to purchase a home for his family. He really screwed us all and should really have taken a loan. Rumour has it, even his wife was unaware of such a plan. Good night all, stay safe, you've all been warned.
Entirely feasible - I welcome alternative points of view
I’m not a Facebook poster like PL75 - purely posting genuine thoughts for people to consider - they can take em or leave em. I’m not in it for ‘likes’.
Warning signs as pigster said, plus think of the lack of uptake of track and trace - if applied to the Avacta home test many have stated, it may have as much uptake as a PL75 thesis on “why I’m so brilliant and funny”
I took my profit but will monitor. If I had bought at current price I would be concerned
I think it's possible that with the news flow expected, that Sir Al is also very conscious of breaching MAR, so sold prior to any significant news flow. Poor chap's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I don't think his are the actions of a man setting up to fail. If the cash released is only a deposit for his new drum, then obviously he doesn't want a monkey on his back for years to come.
The clue is in the name, don’t waste your time
It is clear - there are lots of warning signs. Look at all the trouble causers and derampers that have appeared.
The warning signs are right there. Something is about to happen. You have been warned.
Can you tell us what those current warning signs are that have appeared over the past few days, apart from the CEO selling a small % of his shares?
I'm a holder here and would honestly be interested in what you think these new warning signs are, apart from the CEO share sale
Uber rampers such as Myles saying he’s just sold to buy a house etc - all true.
However, if he was convinced of the value of his short term shareholding then he need not have sold - he could have secured a Lombard loan with his shares used as collateral to pay for the house purchase.
I believed in this share for a long time - really did.
Too many warning signs now.
