Exactly captainstanley
We are in a great position, many strands and profit centres naturally developing.
Being under the radar is not bad thing right now
Getting this right for the longevity is the only way
Gives us chaps a bit more time to pile in.
We don’t want to be seen in the 99p bargain bucket stores do we?
It’s like the planets have been aligning all along for the biggest mightiest bang of all time!
Only a matter of time before retail investors start piling in.
Probably after we’ve been on most news channels across the globe might just do it?
Anyone getting in now will be seen as geniuses
In time to come
Only a great story to tell folks in later years to come:
“Remember that ghastly Covid period? Well I invested wisely at the time in a small company Yorkshire called Avacta. It only happened to be the company that made the difference in slowing down/stopping the virus spreading” they have amazing unique patented technologies that all the big boys wanted
They became most talked about company on the Nasdaq and ftse 250
It was great contributing towards saving the planet and making a bob or two out of it as well”
Where’s the roller when you need it? Has anyone seen my driver! ;) lovely jubley
Fully agree MF , understand the frustration, think all of us LTH’s do - even though we have enjoyed a fantastic share price rise.
Fingers crossed as you say.
Thanks Okehurst for a decent discussion, 50% of avacta target is fine with me as it shows something happening. Fingers Xd for November and BAMS.
" it’s high risk high reward, think we can all agree on this point."
Absolutely agree. Although, I don't think many others on here do. Until our tests are producing revenue, until they have eager confirmed buyers we are in a high risk situation. We even have a risk of never getting revenue from them at this point.
When will our tests start producing revenue?
No-one knows. Not me, not you, not PL75 (lol), not even Big Al himself.
If this was a nailed on situation we would be trading at 600p+ already. The risk premium is clearly seen in the price. Everyone invested, and those choosing not to are simply running their risk appetite rule book over this company and making the trade that fits.

I used to think that too, unfortunately the virus is mutating, bad news
Good news for Avacta, they can I believe? Tweak the testing
MF, think the UK RTC ( Consortium) tied up the antibody tests, even today they don’t have MHRA clearance - suggest nearer than Avacta though !
Suggest we are where we are now, we get good news on Revenue for Elisa / BAM’s and 50% of Avacta’s plan over Covid 19 testing will have come to fruition and we then have more confidence on the antigen self administered test being successful.
It does appear we are last man standing worldwide with our test, everyone of note has pulled out, it will be some feat if Avacta nail it, from a shareholder point it’s high risk high reward, think we can all agree on this point.
Mortgagefreeman
You honestly moan about everything
You’ll even be moaning when Avacta hits £10
Also the Yorkshire tea jokes are wearing very thin
It was bad enough after the first one several months ago.
I’m really not in habit of filtering as I like to see wide spectrum of debates
I’m now considering this after reading the board this morning
What a shocking horrible board this has become
Please get a grip everyone.
We are just about to see rocket growth
Reading the board you’d think we’d been delisted or something
Okehurst we all want to see some movement soon even to prove the product isn’t faulty. Perhaps the company could have changed direction to the easier antibody tests when summer target failed and Q1 2021 was looking more likely for the lft . Could of had 6 months of poc revenues until lft got proven.
Yes, it was the Mail that "broke" the news a few months ago that the Oxford Vaccine would be rolled out in September.
I love this lsentence from today's story.
" It can also be disclosed that the Government has introduced new laws that would allow the UK to bypass the EU approval process if a safe and effective jab is ready before the end of the post-Brexit transition period on December 31."
Laughable
I certainly won’t having a vaccine that’s only taken months to develop
Nhs will Be full of patients with reactions
Its likes spinning a roulette wheel it just might change your life in a very bad way
Test test -isolation etc. Is the safest atm
I like most am very sceptical about a vaccine being rushed, scientists admit they're still learning about the virus,we know it mutates like the flu where a new vaccination is produced every year
This is just the Flu vaccine having issues- sadly 25 people have died as a result already
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/22/doctors-in-south-korea-call-for-flu-vaccinations-to-be-paused-after-25-deaths
I’ve blocked MF so didn’t see his post but was looking for other peoples insights less devious ones.
Why do you bother engaging with him... he quite clearly isn’t and has never been a holder.
The pretence of ‘I’m so disappointed’ just feeds his narrative.
That said, he literally spends his life on this bb so perhaps he is just lonely.
MF, understand your frustration but maybe look at it a different way
I don’t think we can compare like for like on a straight line approach, no need to list all the issues of producing a safe vaccine that the public will take in their masses vs producing a self administered saliva test, both are difficult, no one has yet to deliver either.
However we could see news on Elisa or BAM’s that will generate serious revenues for Avacta which result in a share price jump, it then takes the heat off and the Company just get on and deliver the test the country / world requires to for some sort of normality to return.
Let’s hope we get some good news this week
Surely vaccines are far more complex to produce than a simple test, why are there so many vaccines coming online whilst we struggle with a single simple test? Hmmm.
Is this a snore fest for everyone?? Should we have concerns with the potential of a vaccine being rushed out into society or do we feel if our product arrives late 2020/early2021 we will still be massively required.
Discuss?
