Fancy see you here prop5. No brainier to take position here no idea why people would be selling with the ceo putting his head on the block Monday. No wonder you have the noise and twitter so quiet as positions need to be took prior and shorts closed as I said earlier.
Nice to see you over here GGGG - Have you taken a position?
Folk here will also benefit well from your input!!
All the best pal
Just to remind people, in the 13/7 RNS, AS made clear the “substantial commercial potential” of the SKIN collaboration. That potential is now moving towards fruition. At the same time AVCT are clearly protecting their IP and rights as much as possible by making the deal non exclusive, revocable etc. There is only great news for us here.
Poor global, he hasn’t spotted that I call everything in advance rather than in hindsight. Boo at £2, Skin at 2p. No advice is ever given, always DYOR.
Thanks for your advice BigDano. I’ll ignore you. Good luck with your decisions.
I get laughed at and yet this PL75 guy goes on about his trading updates, he went on about BOO and now SKIN, yet somehow manages to time everything to the T. Rings a bell with the comments I got ha ha.
To be clear SKIN had a share consolidation.
These boards are so funny. That’s all shorts on IG closed this morning. Gone from 2% short to 0%. I watched yesterday all the little £200 constant sells. Seemed like a concerted effort to drag price down. NT of course now.
I know I have been a critic of the company but I can see that there is a big update coming. Today rns over at skin should reflect what could come Monday with the presentation.
RK I am a holder and a fan of yours! I appreciate yours and Orphidian's and Myles posts keeps me going here.
But no one can deny the delays and non performance from Sir Al especially since the placing. Meanwhile other companies everywhere move at speed with their tests. Many saliva tests coming up now.
Exactly Watching. Companies value is obviously less now that they will have a recurring revenue stream through the SKIN partnership. Affirmers work. Simple.
Totally agree. This mornings news can only add to the foundation’s here. There’s an awful lot going on.
PL75 well done on your investment but strongly consider taking some profits and less ramping of SKIN. Listen to some folk on here, experienced investors can see with minor research that SKIN is very very very high risk.
The issue for Avacta bulls is, will this new kid on the block, in the rapid, POC home use market, supplant the LFD POC test of Avacta, or complement it? With the MC of Avct at £400mn, there's a lot riding on that determination.
False drop. Skin news is good
This will Bounce very shortly !!
@mortgagefreeman - I am intrigued are you really invested here? You question everything with a negative approach. You wonder at peoples optimism on the potential here.
I suggest you rewatch the presentation from the 6th May at the business update and outlook.
Cheers, Rich
Staggered by some of the negative reaction to the SKIN news here
Yes, and to think AVCT was once trading under 20p this year. Dangerous investing indeed!
The levels of ignorance are incredible. The dangers of investing in a company that was under 20p and is currently trading at 65p. Scary stuff. Anyway, Awacta are not spending any time, they’re supplying affimers.
Just in case you missed it, we’ve got a royalty deal on a real time breathalyser. People are moaning?!
@mortgage, "shown up" how? other companies paying him to use his Affimers?
twat
Sir Al is being shown up by many other CEO's moving their companies at speed, but to be fair to Sir Al, it was some sycophants on this BB who prematurely knighted him.
Well said Visainn.. a complete mirage thats driven by the SKIN CEO. I have highlighted in the past about the dangers of people investing in SKIN.. dyor.... A complete sideshow which I'm really hoping Avacta aren't spending too much valuable time on with this collaboration..
What Integum's rns indicates to me is that without affimers (or aptamers) their offering is unable to detect anything. It does confirm the affimers must work well if they can detect the virus from a breath test.
@maltby2002
I get that it frustrates lth on here when posters ask why the delays, when is Sir Al getting his finger out etc but for some of us to see losses becoming more deep and news from other companies getting RNS’d on a daily basis, it’s also frustrating for us who’s pockets aren’t that deep
Yes, I’ve done my research, yes I’ve read mountains of well written information from excellent contributors on here, posters who know far more about the science than I ever will
Unfortunately, I got in here at a spike and for a long time have watched my losses increase so decided to pull off a third last week, I really wanted to stay with Avacta but my holding continued to reduce, finally took it all off on Monday and he last third on Tuesday.
I’m not posting to knock this company, it will have its day, just that I couldn’t wait and so put my recuperated takings in to two of my other pharma stocks, OO & Val ( glad to say that their increases have wiped out my losses here )
As much as I’ve thanked posters on those bb’s, I’d also like to thank educated contributors here too, for upping my knowledge and giving me an additional interest in the sciences.
I will continue to keep Avacta on m watchlist and no doubt kick myself along the line when Sir Al gets your products to market
GLA
Oneknows, exactly right. Anyone can see it’s fantastic news apart from the bores that have ridiculous expectations that everything should happen instantly. As it goes, this collaboration means that Covid can be detected instantly, it’s an amazing innovation with affimers at the heart of it.
Completely agree bluemoon. Everyone is now fully fixated on the LFT and kicking off about the timelines for that. Meanwhile the other work going on provides more hints that affimers work to the kind of levels needed and additional revenue streams. If the breath test comes good - they will sell in huge volumes and Avct get a cut of that, same for the water test and I imagine they need replacing for the water test frequently so again recurring revenues.
The LFT is out of our hands as it stands so in the interim, and yes I appreciate that will be the short term catalyst for significant revenue streams but just look at the pipeline being built here....
Sheltie,
"This is designed to try to prop up the ever dwindling share price"
Biggest load of BULL that I've heard.
Avacta have not initiated this move, it's SKINs news which AVCT are obliged to report.
Sick of all losers on here discrediting AVCT, FO elsewhere,
Rant over
Only the traders are talking it down once they've bought back in ,We know the rest.........
How can another revenue stream be a negative?......
