You are talking as if turkey doesn't have any cases. Just because your friends have got symptoms out of thousands who travel there everyday doesn't mean it should be added to the quarantine list. My friend recently returned from there and had no symptoms, using your theory turkey does not have the coronavirus present.
Fact is wherever you go there is covid 19 present.

HI Jaytee - where abouts in Turkey did they come back from ? We have someone who has returned from Turkey last week. I'm thinking we should be mandating that he work from home now.
Testing is still vitally important. My friend and his wife and 2 friends returned from Turkey on Sat morning and he began having covid symptoms. He managed to get a test at Sheffield Meadowhall (not far from where he lives) and on Sunday he, his wife and 2 friends all tested positive. The track and trace paperwork they had to fill in took hours, so now Jet2 will have to inform all the people on the flight, the hotel will have to inform all their visitors etc etc. So is Turkey actually hiding something and should it also be on the list of quarantined countries.
Utter bull****e and here's why always whining.
1) They have been talking about testing all week, they are behind on testing and are getting a beasting for not having ready now, hardly surprising they don't talk about it in every briefing. "a complete u-turn" what a crock of bullocks....they have spoke about vaccines once this morning and it has always been a core pillar for the long term recovery you utter plank!
2) They have been as specific as is possible as they are not promising exact dates when so many factors are out of their control, validation for instance or access to live samples. I'm sure you would be able to write much better releases yourself, but that would only be in one of your pubescent wet dreams. Funnily enough RNS's are persistent and no one will forget any of it when it's in black and white...hence why they are only specific when it is known data!
3) BAMS validation is out of their control and will be sold by a third party, they have released the appropriate news when it is due and known, simple....almost as simple as you always whining.
You conclusion is incoherent, factless, trivial, utter scare mongering and factless.
The only fluff is you alwayswhining....absolutely full of fluff you are.
Agreed, people are panicking about a potential second national lockdown, rather than anything more sinister regarding product development. Science takes time, don't rush it, otherwise you end up with a poor product that then is withdrawn a short while after launch.
The panic is about how extensive or not the rule changes may be. We don't have anything more effective than social distancing measures, until testing capacity and capability improves or treatment improves or vaccines are widely available. Everyone is now waiting for BJ to make his announcement (hopefully not long). Testing will still be one of the main ways out of this, no need to panic.
.................
1) Evidently the government thought the saliva test wasn't far away when Hancuck gave his radio interview. The government have now done a complete about turn and are hardly mentioning it again and are instead talking about vaccines. This about turn coincided with the last updates suggesting the LFT still hadn't entered the validation phase. Most likely reason is there is a problem with it still.
2) Every update from the company is vague. We can't blame a NDA entirely because the government via Hancuck have been hinting wildly at all sorts of things they obviously know sod all about for months, only to have to take it all back, or more often, just hope the public forgets they actually said it.
3)The BAMS test has disappeared off the radar almost entirely
In conclusion, whether there is a NDA in place or not, the evidence is there for all to see. The government have been a better gauge of sentiment behind the scenes as to how the LFT is coming along than anything else. As I've already mentioned, something has obviously gone wrong yet again which has caused more delays. The government is the best indicator of that, coupled with the increasingly vague and intellectually patronising updates being put out by Alastair which contain more fluff than Giant Haystacks navel.
