$145k for under 10k sites, so about $15 per site for affimers. Total global sites is 105k, so about $1.5m so $18m per year based on monthly replacement. Barely worth Sir Al getting out of bed for. But... airports, venues, hospitals, schools, etc. How many sites globally then? 2m? $340m per year. As a monitoring system, it feels more like recurring revenue, so apply a PE of 10, $3.4Bn?
Pigster, imagining that was the case and based on what prof Smith has achieved so far regarding negotiated JVs as far as retaining affimer technology, I would assume we would keep about 45% of the rights. So, another finger in another front.
Exactly right CS, a breathalyser would need bit of kit and would suit an airport etc. If the margins on the supply of affimers were as good, you’d be daft not to. So, we’d have affimers in an early warning sh.tty system, affimers at the hospital, affimers for mass screening and affimers in an instant gateway test. Not a bad combo...
If you were the CEO of a company about to release an LFT powered by affirmers that would test people in c10 minutes, would you hand over said affirmers to another company that would make a much much quicker test and shoot your own sales out of the water before said LFT was even available for sale?
There’s a difference this weekend, this rumoured one could be using affimers
Thanks for reminding me about the boxing Trillsg...
As always B- Fox us investors are reading between the lines, filling in gaps, usually wrongly but with some information to go by. Have a good evening, boxing is on now.
Trillsg, no I wouldn’t want a CEO to be spending time constantly answering tweets and being the source of rumours, it’s a red flag for me...
Just to add, Skin's Novel Sensor will give results within 4 seconds. Great news for both companies if true.
Blow and go, the perfect solution by combining 2 proven technologies.
Bud-Fox, would you not like your CEO to answer any queries you had within minutes via Twitter and daily progress reports (within Aim regulations) . I think maybe you would.
As a tweeting CEO I put GB in the same embarrassing bracket as Neil Ricketts. Very impressive though if SKIN are developing a breathalyser using Affimers but wish it was the Klaus of breathalysers (if there is one) doing it instead...
Gerry tweet:
All will be revealed soon. It will be worth the wait. So much happening right now. Things started back in May now coming to results, so bear with us a few more weeks for results
I’d say a breathalyser is in the ball park, so the rumour could be true
PL75 what do you make of GB’s response to you last night?
@PL75 you are in the ball park, buy not quite there yet. What we are working on is unique and assuming it does work (no reason to suspect it wouldn't) as we are working with tried and tested equipment, it is likely to change the way we look at the virus. Proactively fighting back as a society, rather than reacting to the damage it does to individuals.
Wow! Brilliant find :-)
I can imagine the challenges of a lack of concentrated virus in the air are overcome via a breathalyser. All makes sense. Now it sounds like early days and as you know, I’m not one for a cross ramp, but it looks like Skin have some exciting development plans.

Detection systems coming on line fast. Research needs experienced companies for route to market but are already showing what is round the corner.
The RNS is fairly specific to wastewater, but there was this quote by Sir Al...
‘With the spread of COVID-19 continuing to accelerate globally, we are proud to work with partners like Integumen to provide our Affimer reagents for development on a range of platforms to combat the pandemic’
A range of platforms could suggest other applications. Ultimately, it’s another route to market for affimers.

The #Labskin team, working with the virus, are aiming to have operational prototype(s) this quarter of Phase 1 and 2 which will transform the #NovelSensor even beyond the #wastewater sector to open the economy using moisture droplets and #AI
type tests in the Cat3 lab using your affimers and their novel sensot tech. ONLY RUMOURS!
