Let's face it ...i am sure novice investors think this is a cheap market and they can make nice gains...
But..this is probably one of the most dangerous markets for a long, long time
We are in a bear market with what lloks like a bear rally....some think we are now in a bull beginnings
There is no clarity as to where we actually....very, very risky and potentially disasterous if you get it wrong and think it is all so easy...
If i was a novice ( and i am no expert) i would just watch and learn...but keep well away
Each to their own, mind you
"Many involved yesterday will have found a route out already, leaving the novice investor now rushing in to wonder whats happened ."
If the novive investor decides to play in the Premier League, then they either learn to swim fast or sink....no one is making them play with the big, experienced players .....you snooze, you lose
Poker....the Market is rigged against the private investor. Did you see ASOS this morning....jumps over 25% on open...why, not because of a TU but an Institutional Placing at yesterdays closing price. No way were the II’s going to allow this to fall. Yes more capital to play with...and so now has AV. but we didn’t rise . Many involved yesterday will have found a route out already, leaving the novice investor now rushing in to wonder whats happened ...in a week or so’s time. Its not difficult is it !!
@Pokerchips
You might not realise it, but the big boys have weighed up and acted upon any information that can be bought way before any PI can get hold of it. It's only the first off the mark or those people who have knowledge that is not readily for sale who can really benefit. So where you are right is that it's a big boy's league. We know using inside information is illegal so of course no company director would ever dream of using it, would they ...........

Hit the block button..get on with it man ... love the bit about looking down on broken Britain and the follow up about spitting in people's faces
..great stuff Toff ....you are up there with the best ....
Poker
“let's be honest here....a large % of private investors have a pretty low overall level of knowledge about the company, sector and business they have invested in...“
And NO one exemplifies that more than you!
Lots of hot air - a big swinging Blowhard with absolutely nothing of any values to say.

" Basically the Market is rigged against the private investor, but guess all of us know that already . GL "
Well, let's be honest here....a large % of private investors have a pretty low overall level of knowledge about the company, sector and business they have invested in....and yet..in a lot of cases feel they should be spoon fed and protected all along the way...
They dont want to pay for researched and costly industry reports, and any detailed, complex sector analysis.
They dont want in many cases to even pay for access to financial areas of daily information.
They want, in many cases to given a nice clear path to riches and when they arent ..they moan like mad about being "mislead" and blame everyone else...
FFS ...in shareholding , there are no beginner leagues or wheel stabilizors for the timid and the ones that cant keep up
There is just one big boys league and if its too big for you...STAY AWAY
“ inside information” thats a difficult one as every Senior Mgr/ Director will, on a weekly basis have a pretty good understanding of where their business is going. Their actuaries will constantly be giving forward guidance...most of AV’s insurance is short tail, they know exactly whats happening....yes its inside info, but not criminal to sell until the closed period. Read any Director Sell as a Guidance Warning....and don’t believe such rubbish as its for Tax Reasons ! Basically the Market is rigged against the private investor, but guess all of us know that already . GL
I still do not understand why that waste of space Lineker earns so much money for his silly jokes. And he is surely getting on a bit now.
If the directors did indeed sell their shares for tax reasons then they would have bought them back on 6th April. If they did not buy them back on 6th April then we know what they were up to - whatever they might say.
Shareholders led on to believe declared dividend is safe; large sell-offs of shares by directors for "Tax Reasons" , suggests divi cancellations were known and acted on by 'Inside Information'. If that were the facts of the matter, it is tantamount to THEFT! in my book.
They are useless scumbags with no special skills. Entitled bastards who overpay themselves and screw investors.
