Tesla aren’t interested in boutique brands or styling or any of the usual car stuff.
That’s why the cars look like computer mice.
Tesla are going to make money from the ‘engine’.
The battery/motor combo. They’ll license the use of proprietary tech and sustain a royalty baseline.
This is why I don’t see the Dyson rumour as incredibly silly.
However they make AML successful, I don’t really care.
Yep. Been in since 48.83
Thing is a smaller portfolio has higher risk but if you do it right should yield better profit as your maximising you holding if they “pop” Same way you also may not encounter loss but when you do it will obvious be huge compared to a diverse portfolio as their is nothing to equilise it
Im sure we all have a watching portfolio that we scour all of the time. I have about 30 in mine and I kid you not just under half of mine have “5 to 10 bagged” in the last 6 months. I have been in and out of most of them in that time but only managed to really gain massively on one which was AVCT.
Gained a little (1 bag?) on AML because like most didn’t move on when I should have done. Got to keep moving your profit on guys lol!
Yeah I don’t like that ‘portfolio’ lark, it makes sense but who wants to be sensible.
If I had a portfolio I’d end up with invested in one company within the month, if not sooner.
you'll be just fine...imo
Dunnie I’m an all or nothing type of guy. I genuinely don’t have much idea what I’m doing but I love educated risk. I can’t do balanced portfolios or “long term” I’ve tried but find them both boring. So yes it’s likely I will be all in with AML again soon but not yet. IMHO there are better all in options out there at the moment. It’s all going to end in tears of course but hopefully of laughter! ha ha
Just winding Rox up, that I had a notifiable interest and the RNS was about to be released.
let's be honest...
We actually don't know what Stroll thinking
He never tells us ! )))))
which Rns ....Dunne you expect
Rox, does that men you’ve taken the decision to be ‘fully invested’?
Don’t forget to watch out for my RNS.
Firstly, newbie here. Wanted to say thanks to everyone for their open and honest opinions on this board. I'm learning a lot.
As a car geek and someone in the energy and sustainability industry, I can't see Tesla getting involved with AM. Doesn't make sense for a American owned power house to buy a struggling UK company to bolster it's offering. Tesla have enough 'wow factor' as it is, especially with the Tesla Roadstar which got the whole industry excited. They just need to improve their quality, which isn't reason enough to buy AM. Remember, Tesla already have customers buying £100k+ cars on a daily basis. They already have their foot in the door with wealthy clients.
As mentioned in a previous post, I see Merc using AM (or the Lagonda name) as a test bed for premium EV tech to then trickle the lessons learnt to their other cheaper Merc models. Similar to Porsche/VW and Volvo/Polstar. Merc don't have models in their current lineup which command a premium for high quality EV's. They've only sold 250 (ish) EQC models in the UK since 2019.
Stroll knows for a fact that if he issued a positive RNS about anything at the moment the share price would increase immediately. He has a plan and for sure he and his team are keeping the price low for a reason that we can only speculate upon. In an ideal world the DBX would have been launched as a Hybrid but time was not on AMLs side. He would only have to mention the word “battery” in an RNS and this share would go up-to 75p. This is all within his power but he chooses not to but its coming.
We just have to make sure that we are full invested when that happens.....
Ofc your prediction might happen. It's all about money. BUT:
I see Aston Martin and especially Tobias Moers going the Hybrid way for many future models. There will be a pure electric model but this will only happen to show that they can do it and for marketing. As long as there's no sufficient infrastructure for charging and also convenient charging methods without losing time I can't see a reason why a tesla buy out might happen. Tobias is going to use this for the next years:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-AMG_GT_4-Door_Coup%C3%A9#Mercedes-AMG_GT_73_EQ_Power+
Quote:
"....features the same 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor for a combined power output of up to 600 kW (805 hp; 816 PS), and a 0-60mph (0-97 km/h) sprint time of less than three seconds."
Hybrid = Aston !!!!
I think the general consensus was on Mercedes but I can see your thing either way looks like a buy out by someone is expected just depends What price
I predict that Tesla will buy Aston Martin in the next 2 years. People who have had a Tesla are trading up to premium brand electric cars made by Porsche, Jaguar, etc and I can see that Tesla will need a premium brand to go with the main Tesla brand. Sadly I think any buyout will be around £1 rather than the true value of this company
