I'm in AML as a calculated risk (and other shares) as part of a 6 year plan to retire at 60, as pension schemes are clearly going to fail to deliver what they promised.
I've also bought some AML for my son's Junior ISA (at a cheaper price).
Potentially AML should deliver the biggest return, but absolutely anything can happen between now and then.
I hope for the best but plan for the worst.
Fortune favours the BOLD. We should always take opportunitys that come our way. A good business man will always take a calculated risk and make the move, Ive made so many Bold moves over the last 10 years and always come out the other end on top. Then there has been opportunities that have come my way and I did nothing to only regret it. Keep your finger on the pulse is what an older businessman said to me once and he was very right.
Yeah Wife wasn’t happy because we were in the middle of a self build and living in it! Ha ha
It actually turned out to be a good buy in the end. Nobody else wanted it so it was a bargain. The bigger the risk the bigger the gain just like share dealing. When everyone else was selling AML and it infamously went down to 28p just like most people here I was buying. That’s what we have all got in common here on this discussion group. We are all risk takers - and a little bit bit barmy!
Agree with that I have more in here than I would like but if I loose it all I would still have a roof over my head and afford a pint
Ha ha just googled it yes that was me. Secretly pleased I like the anonymity! Martin give me a hard time because I hadn’t read it he legal pack ha ha
Yeah I like impulse and of course risk just like everybody here. Providing of course you are gambling with money you can afford to lose. That’s my golden rule.
Rox
I have searched BBC and prime video and it is unavailable but I have read the transcript which I found and you are still funny in that, like when you tell the wife that she had better be sitting down, I think I have seen that episode as well, is it the white flat on the corner??? and I at least know your name now
Seems you treat share dealing like everything in your life and good luck to all you do
We are only on this earth once so enjoy it as much as possible
Can’t wait until we hopefully all meet up
Carry on Rox

Not really about turn around but about creating a home to and for someone's vision
It will never happen on a large scale in the UK 33 same as timber frame. Shame really but that’s a topic for another day. Like Nevas I build houses but one offs and all by my little self. Also buy the odd house at auction which is when I ended up on the show ha ha
Thankfully No

Tbh..my true passion and miss it so much due to covid
Genuine risk for sure especially with what is going on around us but AML has moved down a level IMO of course from high to medium but that sadly is proportional to potential gains at the current share price. Exclusivity is a word for posh people and Stroll knows people will pay big money for this to show off to their posh curtain twitching neighbours. None of us know what he is really up to though and I hope you are wrong with your 50p prediction!
Any body buying into a company with so much debt must accept failure is a very real option.
I'm not disputing the SP isn't currently representative, and in all probability we're heading back to 50p, which again would arguably be representative at the present time.
My point is that being an AML shareholder is not a frustration, it is a genuine risk.
I'm in for the long term, but I am starting to wonder what Mr Stroll and his consortium's true intentions really are based on his comments about exclusivity, which must surely extend to share ownership.
Ah but don't get hung up on that ....
