BETRIGHT you are outside of the claims limitation anyway...that being from 2018
I loved my time at Prudential and Manning Stainton Est Agents. Money was the best I've ever earned!!! They wanted me to do CMAP AND up my productivity. I left the Navy to be a family man so reluctantly gave the game up!!!!
Still holding here from the lows. Amgo will be fine. keep hold.
Ex, I had quite a few in the day. Bought some great properties that had potential and managed to do very well indeed.
Loved it then. Great days. That whole thing of going for it!
And Jimmy, we all know whats going on with this share.
Jimmy56, of course you have other choices. Youre best one to sell up, if you are invested, or buy something safe.
As they say...if the kitchens too hot then get out!
No offence taken Richmond. Yes, I'm very sceptical of groupthink so perhaps I can come across as an awkward git. But it comes from wanting us all to know exactly what's going on. I'll think about how I can express things differently.
Scrambler - I know - but only available to self employed people!!!!!! What a swizz!!!!
The claims co owner was
LOL
No it wasn't me
I did top up today
£5k at 8.92p
Hi Ex
Those self cert mortgages were great!
Ex yes please :)
Kettle, I assume that's why they do the whole process with them too, including credit check and affordability
Surely the best placed person to know if amount borrowed was realistic is the Guarantor who would have far more insight .
Seamus - do you want me to ask him?????? Ha Ha
Scrambler, what you say is the definition of a false choice because I have options besides the ones you've given me.
I'm entitled to hold a position I'm nervous about and I'm entitled to explore the issues that make me nervous to inform my decision making. This is a big risk / big reward investment so nervousness is justified.
Jimmy, I can assure you that borrowers were credit checked and had to do an affordability review, Both borrower and guarantor
Someone posted an actual transcript on here from the FOC and they clearly stated the above . Issue was when they applied for second loan
In fact I think that 135k buy was from the guy that owns the claims company. He's put his profits in Amigo now he knows they will be drying up ;^)
First part of my post is true and second part wishful thinking :)
I can't see wee Jimmy Kranky's messages but get the jist. All of his endless guff over 10k. jeeez. Buy some premium bonds and foxtrot oscar for the love of god.
When I was a mortgage arranger, I used to do self certification mortgages and these were based on applicants "word for it". They were banned at the end of my stint in that game and that is the last time I knew of a loan given based on applicants info only and not backed up by paperwork
Seamus, I tend to agree - Amigo probably didn't just take people's word for it and I hope they didn't.
But lots of posters (and even JB himself in a tweet on 21 July) have suggested that Amigo did (and were entitled to) take people's word for it.
No its not Jimmy56.
You say you have £10k invested here. You have said that is a lot of money to you. All your comments from previous months have been mostly negative, or full of nervousness. On that basis I would say this is not the share for you. It is on the higher risk side, albeit higher reward.
Lots of other investments out there that are lower risk that would suit your preposition.
You too Richmond :-)
Scrambler, that's a false choice - I'll stay invested, thanks all the same, and continue to ask questions (including ones you might find inconvenient) to help shape my future decisions, which might involve topping up or selling up or staying put. Good luck.
Jimmy56,
I dont need to make any arguments against your comments. I have made my decision to invest in Amigo based on all the information available. I am confident with my own decision. I do not have to constantly have to analyse every detail.
If you are not confident with Amigos direction get out or dont invest.
Jimmy, us boys knows it always best to be a grower rather than a shower as it's not the size you start with but the size you end up with :)
Ex, you should see me eat a cucumber, whole and sideways
Scrambler, they haven't been negative, they've been cautious. If you think any of what I've said doesn't stack up then make an argument against what I've written, don't just call me names!
Jimmy56 has been posting here since July under the pretence that he may invest!! All negative and undermining comments. What a loser!
