Moonglow- I have as many as I can afford (at moment) but as you say, this will do very well and would go a very long way towards a very significant financial boost!
This is a millionaire and multi millionaire making proposition imo
Agreed Max...I can see it being NT all the way up. I'm not saying I won't slice a few at a certain target but have always said I would hold the majority for a minimum of two years once we have liftoff, have already held for nearly two years anyhow and can see massive gains as they build the business.
Moonglow- the number of shares available, really make this a difficult pie to get a crumb from when the news arrives
I could see #ALGW opening at an instant 6p on the day news lands (if a 7am rns)
I have always been incredibly bullish on Alpha as they have a fantastic board of people really at the top of there game, and I think life settlement industry will grow massively as people in their twilight years are living far longer and so much more active than they used to be.
Its been a long winding road - and I am not going to deny very frustrating at times but I have patiently held and added where I can and I feel we are very close to being rewarded. As soon as the ball starts rolling I feel everyone will want a slice of the pie.
Thanks Bonds Nd agree!
I have spoken to GS on a few occasions and in the last conversation he told me that the figures being talked about are $50m- $100m per contract.
If this is the case, it is huge!
I also believe that we are very close to news and this would not be measured in months, but rather weeks or even days!
Not sure where how many contracts will land, but do believe that it will be like the proverbial waiting for a bus- when one comes several come together or soon after each other.
News can come at any time. The fiscal year ended in August and the company stated 'we expect that the next fiscal year's account will be very much different and reflective of the continuing efforts as set out above and the Directors look forward to the new fiscal year'. My post below shows how are advanced the company is in various discussions with funds and major insurance companies. They already have 15m AUM, these bigger deals mentioned by the company have been a long time coming. These current prices do not value any of the previous deals, the boards credentials in the sector and the billion dollar size of the market. This should be valued at 4/5p before any more new deals.
Bonds in your opinion, when do you think we will get news?
Bonds- if your on twitter follow me
Are there any capacity restraints? Independent research estimates that $1trn of face value is surrendered or lapses each year in the US. Of that, it is estimated that over $230bn would in theory be eligible for purchase, but only about $7bn was traded in that space last year.
A life settlement fund would therefore appeal to the investor prepared to settle for a return of 8-10% per year with little risk. The two areas of concern would be if the life settlement funds got their life expectancies wildly wrong on all the policies, or if interest rates went up so high that investors could get 8-10% per year on bank deposits. However, neither of those scenarios looks imminent.
...The more I research this the more confident that I become. Their is endless amounts of business out there in life settlements and Alpha have positioned themselves to take advantage of this. Once 10p hits I may have to revise my targets. GLA
I was at the investor meet back in June, there was a guy there who managed some German funds and was looking at investment opportunities with Alpha he seemed to like the company and would be happy to invest later at a higher SP, think he mentioned he would prefer to bu at 10p rather than the 2 or 3p it was then. So we know that the big money is looking at Alpha but will be waiting for those big number AUM before they plough their money in
This is the reason why IIs see this as a safe haven. It is growing very quickly. This is the best time to take advantage in UK for first mover advantage.
The Life Settlement Report, that the life settlement industry saw substantial growth 2018. Their research showed a 28% increase in policies sold. Face amount increased by about $1 billion, to $3.8 billion.
