Chief "It's a glorified cruise control with fancy features and nothing more."
Yes that is what I find, when I look at the situation too, as a neutral. And from what I gather a lot of the stratospheric Market Cap is due to FSD too. Conclusion, once the market wakes up to this. Could be a big drop.
Just saying.
Dogberry is like Ray Charles when it comes to worshipping Tesla. He cants see anything wrong. He has no common sense whatsoever. Tesla is falsely marketing "Full self driving" as if it is anything close to that. At least other manufacturers don't claim to have a full self driving car and lie with hype like Tesla. It's a glorified cruise control with fancy features and nothing more.
Dogberry, look at the Airbus A350, fully autonomous operation is the goal. It’s able to taxi out, take off, fly, auto land and taxi back in.
Question is, will passengers accept flying in an aircraft without crew. As crew, I wouldn’t....
Still there’s always sailing holidays

Can you give an example of
1. FUD untruths
2. Half truths
3. downright lies
that are being spread by the Bears about Tesla
Who wrote this? I could not see any attribution.
Numerous accusations of Tesla being a fraud, where's the evidence? Tesla submits GAAP accounts and is audited.
The FSD stuff, well the chart shows WAYMO in the lead and yes it does have some driverless vehicles in Phoenix Arizona in a very expensively mapped geo-fenced area outside that area it is useless. Tesla vehicles equipped with FSDand with it engaged are involved in an accident about every 4.5 million miles which is about 9 times safer than a car without FSD.
Technology I prefer to listen to people who know about the technology they are talking about and there are lots of them on youtube all of whom seem genuinely impressed; rather than bears with vested interests in denigrating the company.
Making money and returns Teslas CAGR is 56% (over several years) it is profitable and has been for several quarters all whilst it is building two enormous factories and enlarging re-jigging others. No mention of this in the article.
Tesla bears have lost a vast amount of money despite attempts to discredit the company and Elon Musk by whatever means at their disposal spreading FUD untruths and half truths and downright lies.

Planes have a system called Auto Pilot it does not mean they are allowed to fly themselves. FSD is a BETA system and nowhere does it say it can drive itself, when activated in the vehicles it brings up a warning telling the driver to pay attention and be prepared to take control.
Dog
I think this link summarizes the bulls versus the bears at Tesla
https://www.tme.net/blog/tesla-scandal/
Dog "the system makes it very clear that you need to pay attention and be prepared to take control. "
Except that it doesn't make that clear at all. That is the point I'm making . It is called FSD "Full Self Driving" when it is nothing of the sort.
Whats your point Eileen? FSD is a beta driver assist system which is getting better by leaps and bounds we all know it is not perfect - yet. It is however much better than any other driver assist system and getting better all the time and should you think FSD means it should drive itself (which there are many youtube videos showing just that in all manner of road situations) the system makes it very clear that you need to pay attention and be prepared to take control. Incidentally Auto Pilot, Co Pilot, Mobil Eye Blue Cruise etc. etc, come nowhere close to FSD check out Sandy Munro on Fords driver assist system which only works on highways (motorways) and cannot even safely handle bends in the road,
If Elon can build a space rocket and a city underground tunnel system I’m sure he can handle a couple of cars …

Just watch, listen and learn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgMgfvh6cw0
You are way behind the curve.
The Claims about having FSD don't appear to be true either.
I also heard about the quality issues with Tesla cars. Perhaps they built in a rush with little experience in how car manufacturing works. They may have to adapt the Japanese model of kaizen in their process. Continuous improvement always betters new starters in a mass market. VW will churn out some good EVs in the near future.
The BMW i4 M50 looks great too, mind you.
If Elon can build a spaceship in a tent, why not a car? Fundays.
Hi Chief
Yeah I'm thinking about an EV too. It's the build quality that puts me off Tesla though. Apparently some of their cars are built in a Tent
Yeah it's a great car I part exed my c8 A6 for the 93.4kWh Carbon Black Auto quattro 4dr. I just wish I had thought more carefully about rear seating for my little ones as the booster seats just take up the room. It's a great car but I will get a bigger one once I've found something I like better. I have still yet to try a Tesla and see what the hype is all about.
Anyone seen the new Audi E-Tron GT.
Smashing looking car
