Good long term growth and cash flow . Good time to take some profit, if like me you have >150% profits.GLA.
Thanks to InvestingGarden's post re. Asian Citrus expands. Good news on profits up 20.3% to £39m.The article also states that "Asian Citrus spent £1.8 million on basic infrastructure for a new plantation at Hunan, with 2.4 million orange trees to be planted before 2014." My previous post was based on info. @ www.asian-citrus.com, but I missed that it only referred to the proposed plantation of c 2.4m trees. Sorry for the mistake.
I do like the dividend for this. Have they got a good history of maintaining this kind of level?
A third plantation, in Hunan province, is now planted with 2.4m orange trees. Average productive life of an orange tree commences after 4 years and lasts for over 30 years. Orange output grows until maturity at around 10 years. Final 400,000 trees was planted at the Xinfeng Plantation in 1H 2007, and all 1.6 million orange trees are expected to be fruit bearing by 2011. Hepu Plantation — average age: 9.6 years
The proposed Hong Kong listing, in addition to the company's existing quotes on the aim and plus market, opens up the shares to the Chinese market and a possible re-rating.The largest orange producer in China, with 1.2m mature trees at its Hepu plantation and 400,000 at its Xinfeng plantationan, with an additional 1.2m citrus trees nearing fruit bearing age, these shares are set for strong but steady growth IMO. Results due 3/9/09 DYOR
There have been a few good reports in the press regardign these as always DYOR,but could be worth a punt
I Have held these now for over a year and have seen a big increase especially this last week. Does anyone else own ACHL? Is it time to take profits or should I stick in there and buy more? I'd love to know what anyone else feels as I bought these on a whim after reading about the Chinese market, rather than after long consideration. Thanks RG
