I may be reading too much into it, BUT what i found interesting in another article was the follow statement.......
“Mentioning that China is the great development partner of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister hoped that the cooperation which is going on between the two countries will strengthen in the days to come.”
Then later in the article .....
"The development partnership between Bangladesh and China will be strengthened further," he said.”

Leverage searcher. “We’ll help no problem. By the way, what about Phulbari…”.
More pressure on Bangladesh to get their energy situation sorted......
Half a million Bangladesh citizens would slip into the category of ‘extremely poor’ in FY 2022-23 and 2023-2024 as their purchasing power was almost wiped out on account of inflation that is expected to touch 9.6 per cent, trounced by weak consumption.]
“Weak private consumption growth and high inflation have halted poverty reduction. Higher food prices particularly impacted poor households, which allocate over half of their budget towards food expenditures,” said the World Bank’s poverty macro update for the country.
The World Bank defines those as ‘extremely poor’ who earn $2.15 a day or less.
In more bad news for the dispossessed in Bangladesh, another 8.4 lakh are expected to join the category of ‘moderately poor’, their purchasing power parity (PPP) pegged at $3.65 a day.

I know that I am being very blase and joking about it, BUT in all seriousness it could quite easily be just as simple as that!! One day very soon we are hopefully going to be woken up with a similar headline, but with Phulbari and Open Pit Mining in the title ... :)
YKIR What exactly do you ' know' that others don't ha ha.
You sound like some sort of cringe cult leader.
The RNS's are there for all to see.
Hopefully she has also been asking them the same in relation to her energy ccrisis!! :)
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday (3 April) sought Chinese cooperation for the development of the southern region of the country, an official said.
“I want China to help Bangladesh for further economic development of the region,”she told Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Yao Wen after he called on her at her official residence Ganabhaban."

That's another couple of delayed trades ;)
2024-04-03 09:42:41 6.975 112,500 £7,846.875
2024-04-03 10:23:08 7.00 100,000 £7,000
I think he got burnt here before and now doesn’t want to see anyone else do well
Fission if you're not invested why do you care?
Why can't they not ignore it...she's done it for the past 20 years!
Those that know buy, then sit and wait.
Those that think they know sit and wait for the news to then buy.
Usually by that time 'those that know' have got the value and those that 'think they know' are trying to catch up and end up paying more anyway!
We must be due an update soon, either operational or on fundraising. I'm happy to sit and wait either way. GCM is in a great position. Bangladesh can't afford to import coal. But they need the coal to run the already built coal power stations. They cant afford to turn off the coal power stations as the capacity charges are charged anyway and are crippling. They can't afford to ignore the Phulbari coal any longer. 2 years to the first coal. After all this time it doesn't get much better for GCM.
Pr9fessional - 'Ykir are you buying shares today. If yes how much?'

YouknowItsRight. Touche!
28700 odd are mine. Have a nice day.
I’ve been in gcm for years...
Priceless
What share price could we looking at next week?
Seeing a lot of green boxes this morning , looks like people are getting desperate to get a low entry , if there is any justice in the world we will get a intra day rns and these fools will not get in at all . I’ve been in gcm for years and when it moves it moves very quickly. The mm’s will make it virtually impossible to buy at these prices.
Same old same old, keeps churning the same old cr*p!
Ykir are you buying shares today. If yes how much?
Lol if you're not fast you're last djm! :)
If Powerchina got 99.5% and GCM just a half percent, of $100billion that would be £2 per share.
Incredible figures.
Well done to Professional for pointing that out! :)
YouKnowItsRight. My thoughts entirely. I was going to post a similar comment but you are a quicker typer than me!. It has been obvious for a long time that GCM would never be able to go it alone.
I can't wait to get back the whole transcript of the latest YouTube video.... I have a feeling its going to be very positive discussions about Phulbari ;)
