I guess some of the idiot posts give it away.
What does that even mean. I had a early meeting. All done for the day now.
Discussed that with Alberto and he thought that was a stupid notion. He asked what do shareholders think we will do with all the profit. I suggest you contact him rather than delude yourself. PRT will be generating millions in profit. Currently we are weeks away from phase one tag production. Maybe you should have bothered to go along last Thursday.
I skim read most of your bull. Dividends? Really? I recall our ceo saying all profits from prt would be used to explore said pyrite belt, of which we own a lot. You do know it all, and you can sell up for 3.75p. Fantastic

I noticed you posted at 07:42, is that before you left for your day job. Will Atalaya Mining move up to the main market, in percentage terms and taking the market as a whole, a rise of 200% in 6-12 months is very small. Regards
TL Why do you assume that some PI's are uneducated?? The Moaning/Whinging (as you put it) shareholders are simply expressing an opinion, which differs from yours. The difference is that only you are rude and ignorant when posting. You are still pretending to be in the know, when in fact you are not. F.E.
left the door open and Emed simply walked through it. Emed will certainly pay something but it will never be 53m euros as clearly they do not have to and it will not be any time soon. Emed did not go out of their way to avoid the payment; they took the only path open to them. Had they not Astor would have got nothing. As it stands Emed did the best for all parties including the smaller private Investors. However the moaning. whinging and uneducated private investors are not needed now Emed are in the big league. The consolidation and the new name are to appeal to the corporate and significant investors. The smaller investors will move on when in profit and allow for a strong shareholder base. I have enjoyed being an multi million Emed holder; I will soon hold just 110k shares. My strategy is to hold 75k (new money) for the inevitable dividends and to take my stake back in 35k shares. I need a little over £3 a share for that. I suspect that will be another 6-12 months. Best of luck all.
First things first : great report on the mood inside the camp. Thank you. I appreciate it a lot. What I'm saying is that a certain investor has been bent over to the tune of 53mil usd. All in good faith. I believe that to be the main reason we are at bargepole length. Just what I'm thinking. Be lucky, mate
SNG You read sentiment wrongly on the matter of Astor. The big selling point re equity dilution was BECAUSE it shafted Astor. The room on Thursday night positively relaxed, to hear the re-assurance given by AL. Had I raised my e-mail protest (written when Astor's fate was first disclosed via the accounts), I would have been" tarred and feathered" on the spot., The "horizontal" share price will react to commercial production and copper price: those invested currently are betting that AL will deliver. For me, it is not a matter of trust, but a bet on AL's "form" , his publicly available track record in bringing mines into production successfully. Money, PI and the big 4, on the table and the wheel spins as we speak.
I guess captain cockroach isn't getting paid atm. Trust me. He is a belter. Suck it up at your peril.
I did post on the new issue day that this would be horizontal forever. Seemingly I was right. If only our bod could turn their attention to the lowly pis, throw us a bone etc. And conduct themselves in a manner of an aspiring 250 company,, rather than the bag-o-sheet I have a front row seat to, I'm sure the market will react accordingly. GLA
Juxtapose, I appreciate the sentiment. And what you say is true. But sentiment conveys a large part on the market. And now, particularly on AIM, this is one of the driving forces. Our bod have tried to shaft Astor.. This is indisputable. Is it surprising no one is piling in? I think not. Gl
Ethics are no longer part of big business. The "vampire squid" who screwed a country? Our very own Trafigura? These are today's icons and EMED just joined the party. AL's answer on Thursday was class, 100% conviction that Emed are in the right, painting Astor as a supplicant, not a debtor. "The condition has not been triggered, but if Astor want to come and talk to us about it ....." SNG . All the pigs wear lipstick and in their peer group, the consensus is that pigs look pretty in pink.
I have thought long and hard about our current plight. I know the cu price is an issue, and a very large issue at that. However, I am really starting to believe that the depression on our sp is down to our treatment of Astor. Our bod have tried to screw them through semantics. What ii is going to trust this now, especially in the current economic environment. Cloak and dagger is not the way forward and I'm sure we'll have to pay Astor at some point soon, so what has this achieved other than giving a bad company an even worse reputation? Answers on a postcard, please.
Junxtapose, with the exception of your first sentence it's nice to see a accurate post without the over emotive posts that seem to cloud the judgement of so many here on both sides of the fence with regard to their investment. Sheps.
PR is just putting lipstick on the pig. The 24/7 half tag throughput came direct form AL on Thursday and sounds entirely possible, giving that the mechanical process was complete at the back end of July. Throughput and production are two different things: the half tag is a really good level of confidence for the mechanical ability, but is no clue as to the latter. What will assist greatly in getting the grade, of course is that this mine was working in the past and they have all the records: that must reduce some of the trial and error associated with any startup and of course, they have the laboratory, giving immediate feed back on every stage of the process. IMO the time to throw stones was on "dilution day". Going forward, it is a good bet, providing that copper prices continue improving and AL gets that plant singing and dancing and his track record , Aquablanca etc, says that he can.. Consolidations are good or bad depending on their objective: good is when they are done to lose the "penny stock" tag and bad is when they are the precursor to the next round of dilution: as the company is fully funded into production at the lower and middle levels, it should be a positive/neutral event. Being cynical, for those who are not very good at their 30 times table, it obfuscates the old milestones on the way.
I could not have put it better myself, Cowhand and Tubs have both hit the nail directly on the head! Saying that we are consolidating after they issued so many shares to members of the board is a load of BS!! Alberto has already devalued the company by issuing so many shares instead of offering a percentage of the copper to be extracted. The PIs who have been in this for over 5yrs have been well and truly shafted. Unfortunately having to wait for it to be viable to leave, or hope that the extra exploration can extend the life of the mine to a point where we as shareholders can actually benefit from the spineless and ill advised CEOs that we've had recently.
Farmer, Well said. Where is this fantastic PR we were promised by this top of the pile PR company. Where are the long awaited rewards for the PI's. And now another bit of trickery/Mumbo Jumbo heavily disguised as Consolidation. When the price drops again Tracy will come up with some other BS and the company will say that we forgot to take away the first number we thought of. I can not remember investing in such a company before and as soon as it is viable to take my money out i will. I will take a chance on missing out on the dividends LOL F.E.
Tracy, some of us long term holders have heard all the lies before. A thorough review of all the RNS's released by this company will show that the whoring of this mine around various 'roadshows' , mining expos and 'city rounds' has produced absolutely f@ck all for the average PI. The push in PR you talk about does not translate to the PI how things are ramping up. Where is the pr mention of truck loads of concentrate, 24/7 half tag production, a couple of months (December?) until profit and the one i find most humorous is the talk of dividends. Whilst it is admirable to read your jolly posts on the awaking of Rio Tinto, one can forgive the current PI's for waiting for the next albatross to appear over the horizon. Do you know what nougat is?
Posts since the announcement yesterday. Absolutely nothing changes simply larger investors and institutions do not like penny shares. The reason Emed are courting larger investors is because they know what they are doing. How can anyone invest without understanding the basics. On Thursday 9 trucks loaded with concentrate left the mine for the port. The website has new pictures showing a bulk trailer leaving the new weigh bridge. Current production is ramping up rapidly, producing 24/7 at about half tag capacity. A couple of months and emed will be profit making on 5 mtpa throughput. The management have pushed the PR hard over the last week doing the rounds in the city. Hopefully we will see a more affluent and knowledgeable shareholder base form over the next few months. Dividends are not off the table as I have said before, Alberto can't understand where that idea came from.
thankyou very much for the info ;) eased my concerns
Thanks very much for the informative reply.
LOL - The nominal value of an EMED share at this moment in time is .25p, that is one quarter of a penny, not to be confused with the trading price which is at this moment in time 3.75p that is 3 and three quarter pennies. Should one multilpy the current nominal value by 30 (.25 X 30) one will reach a figure of 7.5p. Should one multiply the current trading price by 30 (3.75 X 30) one will reach a figure of 112.5p. Personally i hope the need to issue a further 17 Existing Ordinary Shares to increase this to 3,500,386,650 Existing Ordinary Shares does not cause the current share price to fall below 3p. :)) May the spirit of buffet be with you.
