SS - it hasn’t “collapsed”, as the post right before yours says, it’s trebled in a year. It was up 6x and has halved as a lot of the hype has come out of the crypto market. In March Pluto looked likely to make them many many millions. Now it looks like a small number of millions. Still from a £200k investment in December. One that return is banked this will surely go higher.
No share collapses like this without good reason. I feel a fool for still holding
Now at 9p halved since March. The 52 week low is 2.9p so still trebled. Still looks way overpriced to me and I am looking at something like 6p to buy back.
That's what MM's do when they see sellers. Lower the price...
Thanks Phenom and good luck with the pension plan. I was actually 10 minutes too slow to buy when they shot up from 4p to 12p earlier this year! Am always wary when a stock shoots up too quickly and doesn't come down but I'll certainly be keeping a patient eye out on Piri.
Hi Norfolkian - I don't share your view on crypto but it's certainly possible the next move is down for the sector. Pluto's activities aren't based around holding crypto in the hope it goes up, they're backing projects with real world applications. The Pires stake is worth £2m at the Pluto pre-IPO raise and this isn't reflected in the Pires assets (was £200k at year end). But suppose you're right and Pluto turns out to be worthless. A 10p Pires share price would mean a £15m market cap. With an effective 20% stake in the Sure Valley Ventures fund, if this alone was justfication for the share price you'd need the fund to be worth £75m. That's about a 200% rise on historic book value. With several investments obtaining follow-on funding at this kind of multiple, I'm highly confident this will be exceeded in the coming years. So I do think we're at a point where 10p is a very fair current price and we can get to 20p in the next couple of years WITHOUT the uplift of Pluto and low6 - but if both do well we should get to 20p within months. It's a pension investment for me - if the fast route doesn't work I'm more than happy with the slow route.
I've been cnsidering the implications on the sp regarding Pluto. If you've had your eyes glued to coinmarketcap or similar over the weekend you'll know that Ethereum related cryptos have done very well since yesterday. I assume this may be a small contributing factor to the improvment in today's sp. As a crypto investor, however, I can't help feeling that a major downturn is due for the whole crypto market (binance going bust due to a Chinese crackdown or the Fed creating a crypto $, for example). What would then be the implications for Piri In regard to Pluto? Piri does have interesting investments but with a smaller Pluto is 10p a fair value?
Thanks for that Phen, 10 x sounds fine to me . Just looking for where the value is in PIRI ? They seem to have done well with a return on some past investments , I know that low6 is being mooted and one other!
Luckyorange - just to say John Mahtani has no warrants, he invested after the fundraising that brought Chris Akers in. I have warrants but I’ll be exercising them in Q2 of next year. I’ve never been in DEV. I bought AAA in the 0.1p placing along with others on Peterhouse’s books but sold at something like 10x so way too early. Can’t comment on whatever else you’re responding too, personally I find this site is vastly better with GedW filtered, no doubt the three filtered messages below yours are all him or his biographer.
What is the current value Ged, been trying to make sense of what is going on with Pires ? Not invested but it does seem that John Mahtani is having an impact on the sp with his need to get cash for his new venture and suspect that he is clearing out his warrants here. Pires does seem a bit incestuous with other shares like DEV, AAA et al and the same investors in all of them, there is always a point where there will be a bounce once sellers are depleted, could be soon here?
What is the current value ?
PS! Warrants being dumped, in droves 2,000,000 yes 2millions recently. If PIRI has so much upside due ? Why dump now ? Why not wait for 21p or 40p ? Don't be coy but hands up those who think GedW is an idiot buying or topping up now based on all Corporate available information. GedW is using recent profits after selling a chunk at 17p to buy in if the strategy fails then neutral at 5p. But still running massive profit after buying in at sub 2p. You make your mind up. Some still looking for 21p just to break even .
GedW told you that D day 17th May was "alleged" how true was that. GedW told you PIRI was overvalued on current fundamentals, how true was that. in 2017 GedW told you PIRI was worth looking at as a bombed out "shell" , https://www.lse.co.uk/chat/general/gedws-hotties/piri-9B939C88-1B61-4790-AC2A-BE91DC6F3412.html how true was that ? How true was it that GedW told you those buying in at 17p on speculation of a 21p/40p upside on fundamentals was a fallacy, how true was that. How many £0000,00s of pound sunk into the minnow corporate bin ? True. So get your heads out of the clouds and smell the "coffee" PIRI is not being ramped because of the continuing uncertainty and speculation ? Who's the idiot ? Not GedW. Pontificate as to GedW as much as you like, experience will out every time ? PIRI now has to deliver on its speculative and alleged Corporate upside with strong positive and tangible upside to warrant the current Market Cap
re - Is Ged feeling ok?
Maybe now being sleepy, but certainly NOT earlier.
speculating can only be 50% right
Is Ged feeling ok?
Can you see what GedW has done there. Set the hypers to bite back and agree GedW was and is correct on every front, but not necessarily in that order. Dare GedW say a n alleged secondary fund raising offering has been in the pipeline for a while now, purely speculative, but that is what listed Companies live for ?
Third person GedW told prospective and heavily investors that the float for 17th was "alleged". What an idiot they said. So who was idiotic buying on such alleged timescale at massively overpriced stock valuation? Not GedW. You see GedW comes from a Corporate background of 40 years plus and knows that all publicly available, and all known information is and will always be built into the current share price. Those that are on catch up will end up losers. Having said that PIRI, skoosh, presents a value stock at current levels tinged with speculative valuation.
