Surely, if the only offers to come in were for 5p or 10p per share then Sound would raise more funds to continue drilling.
I also suspect that JP is planning for some kind of contingency payment in any deal that is negotiated, after all he has stated we are an exploration company, we will not be drilling appraisal wells, so the only way to get fair value is for future contingency payments.
Having said the above I do not think that any offer has been made for Sound, if there has then it was dependent upon TE-10 being successful.
Yes very odd, we're obviously valued at least between 20-30p and the evidence is there for anyone to see if they want to. The discount is due to an appaling run with the drill bit and JP's bullshit frankly. His only possible redemption in PI's eyes would be to deliver a LE near £1 but I don't believe that's possible. If the existing discovery could justify that we would all be in blissful ignorance of what a trading plan is. So my guess is best case near 50p, worst case 30p. Most LTH's like myself might still get out of this with a small profit but the big winner will be JP who has taken an absolutely extraordinary amount of money out of this company as reward for one hit and serial failure.
You know, Lelo, it's very strange.
I've had similar experiences with comments on other oil exploration companies: they have no money left; the gas or oil isn't there; all the directors are crooks; all the investors have been conned; they'll never get to produce oil/gas; the shares are way overvalued etc.
Maybe not so strange.
So, you think 'Sound has not found enough gas to justify building the infrastructure needed'
I would suggest you read the 7/6/18 RNS :-
Sound Energy, the Moroccan focused upstream gas company, is delighted to announce signature of heads of terms with a consortium comprising Enagas, Elecnor and Fomento (the "Consortium") for the front end engineering and design ("FEED") and conditional construction and financing of all the infrastructure required, including a 20 inch pipeline and facilities, to commercialise the Company's existing gas discovery in Eastern Morocco.
Following a competitive process and negotiation, the Consortium has been awarded the FEED and exclusivity to finalise the funding, construction and operation for both a 20 inch pipeline and the central processing facility under a 'build-own-operate-transfer' ("BOOT") structure.
Terry - Just 2 posts to your name and both in Sound. Why?
“Cash balance” not “cash value”.
The SP has little effect on JP now Terry. If he wanted to “string it along” for salary purposes he could do that anyway for several years based on the cash value. The value of 27p per share for the Horst includes discounting for infrastructure. Prats like you pop up looking to create some fear amongst the weaker readers. In reality the SP has plummeted and is way below the value of the company so only an idiot, or someone desperate for cash would sell now. If you have lost 100’s of thousands then I wouldn’t be looking to get advice from you anyway as clearly you are a dunce.
LONGWAIT
Companies are only worth what someone is prepared to pay, the share price is being held up by investors who believe there is a buyer, and I don’t believe there is one, so I must ask myself were the share price will end up and that is a lot lower than 10p. Sound has not found enough gas to justify building the infrastructure needed and have not progressed much further than the last license holder. The only carrot JP has left is LE event without that it’s game over; it could be strung out another twelve months and by that time you could be talking about a fraction of a penny. I have been in this position and lost hundreds of thousand because I was hoping thing were going to turn round instead of accepting my loss.
I hope I am wrong. just saying it has I see it.
TSF
Welcome Terry.
As you think SOU shares are still vastly overvalued, even after a fall of 90 per cent, what would you consider to be fair value?
1 p per share?
Since you have been following the company's progress / decline, you must be aware that a single asset has been independently valued at 27 p per share, so we would be interested to know why you think 10 p per share for the whole company constitutes a vast overvaluation.
We don't know what anyone will offer, but many posters think the shares are undervalued, and I agree.
How very kind of you to share your thoughts, you’ve obviously researched this company thoroughly to give such an in depth insight...now run along-room 101.
“Vastly overvalued”.........nice one. Nice first post, and thanks for your heart felt concern....... #publicspirit
I went to a presentation by Sound sometime ago, I track 40+ shares on AIM and this was one of them, JP spoke first and ratting our parrot fashion some well rehearse rhetoric (Parrot Fashion: repeating text without fully understand the meaning). He sat down and BM got up grinning and said “The last time I got up JP moaned that I did not mention 31 tcf of gas enough times, I said I mentioned it three times, JP said that is not enough”. BM bought up a slide of a convoy of three seismic vibrations trucks; he said “I don’t suppose you have ever seen one of these before”, he explained in detail the airborne graphic magnetic survey and the 2d seismic data gathering as though it was equivalent to getting a man on the moon, I went away with the impression there is two chancer’s who are out of their depth. I feel sorry for you if you think they have a chance to sell this one well wonder to hard nose professional, any company looking at a FFD will need a lot more gas than a few isolated pockets.
My advice take the loss on the chin and move on, this share is still vastly over valued, you have got more chance in recovering any lose else were, do research ECO,HUR,DGOC,BLOE,NFX,CLNR the shares are in order of preference.
Always DYOR TSF.
