May well happen the way things are going. Will buy more in the low 2s if funds available and if it goes to that level. Expecting this will come good eventually so aiming to buy as many as i can at lower levels. The market cap is getting ridiculously low day by day. Something will give anytime imo and expecting a big move back up when news about the present state of affairs comes out

sp was sub 2p prior to the Newmont RNS last September. Heading back to those levels again without news?

Lack of news is killing the sp. Really think things will happen here but people are just selling as maybe getting fed up of the wait. People selling now maybe throwing the towel in and taking a loss imo.

Hi 987

My thinking here was Newmont have no longer the pressure from the failed Barrick hostile bid plus the Goldcorp acquisition is I believe targeted for completion for end of this month (unless this has fallen behind). Both of these must have come in the way for Omi to remain silent for such a long time - it simply wasn't in their hands but I believe they will now have breathing space to agree Omi plans.

@Professor1 - why do you believe news will come early next month?

Have I missed something?

No trades showing today unless on NEX, massive spread, no news coming from OMI management about drilling, sp on a constant downwards sustained trend. This is getting very tiresome. Really think OMI management should come out with some news regarding the state of affairs here. This has been dragging on for way too long without news. Very poor comms from OMI for way too long. Still holding and staying the distance but getting so fed up with the same cr@p day after day here

exactly prof, only the weak and impatient bail. There has been a massive downer on OMI recently due to the lack of news ONLY. Frustrating yes and its kicked the sp in the balls as most can't be bothered hanging around which is frustrating. I also expect some sort of news relatively soon and am staying put for the foreseeable and adding a few here and there. SL

POTENTIAL

I believe there is great potential here.

I have been analysing the slide on page 10 of Omi presentation. To me this gives a good idea of the growth potential (from APTA).

(Bear in mind APTA is 2km long and Omi has more than 200 square km of land area)

APTA has potential to grow both to the North and the South where the other two targets are shown on the slide on either side of APTA. If the results are positive, this 2km of APTA could extend to become a very long strike length corridor of approximately 7 km to 8km and if the other two targets also extend outwards then the strike length could possibly get even longer. To put this into perspective, the CEO of Greatland gold described, in the video yesterday on Proactive news, the Rio Tinto find in western Australia as "a very impressive intercept" and " a very long intercept" that was some 700 metres long.

The above Omi proect is not including the potential of La Cejita which from slide 10 appears to be of a magnitude of some 8 to 9 times that of the current size of APTA.

No wonder Newmont beat all the other bidders to get in here. News I believe will come early next month and I certainly am staying put.

RE: Risk as a going concern
20 Mar '19
A requirement for ongoing funding is par for the course with most companies and not a cause for concern, but the risk to continuance as a going concern is a different kettle of fish entirely.

The last company that I saw state the 'going concern' doubt in an RNS was Flybe, which incidentally was dismissed by most on that board who ironically later complained that they had no prior warning when the company was a few months later forced to accept a rock bottom rescue deal.

People complain that AIM is corrupt & unfair when they suffer big losses but it is often the case that they have ignored warning signs and wrongly assessed the true risk.

He posted a lot when he invested on the spike so think he got stung and looking for a lower entry. Here's one of his posts:

"Certainly seems to have found good support at 11p...

I'm thinking this could be a strong base from which to make a run at smashing the 13p resistance this afternoon!

USA comes on board in a couple of hours!

Surprised no one seems to have mentioned the old "wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend with the prospect of a gap up Monday morning"!!

:-)"

It does say ‘further funding will be required’. Does that mean the share price will fall there too?

Why don’t you tell me which shares your invested in?

Risk as a going concern
20 Mar '19
On the contrary Investor81, while it is usual to provide a qualifying statement, stating there is a risk as a going concern is rare (your Solgold example does not state this) and would obviously not be used except where applicable.

Hopefully they will secure finance and all will come good here, but in the meantime investors ignore such blatant warnings at their own risk.

Further positives in Q2 update:

Ignacio Salazar, CEO of Orosur, said:

“After many months of hard and patient work, the Company has managed to crystalize two deals which provide a platform to transform Orosur: an agreement in Colombia with Newmont which provides the structure, financing and technical support to build a significant project in Anzá, and a significant vote of confidence from an impressive majority of 70% of the Loryser creditors to our proposed plan to reach a fair and balanced solution to the re-organisation proceedings in Uruguay. We are delighted with these two milestones and very aware of the work in front of us and our commitment to deliver on both agreements.”

The going concern paragraph is pretty standard stuff. For example look at Solgold 2018 annual accounts on page 77 which states ‘The Company currently has sufficient working capital levels to carry out its planned exploration activities for the following 12 months however, it should be noted that the current working capital levels will not be sufficient to bring the Group’s projects into full development and production and, in due course, further funding will be required. In the event that the Company is unable to secure further finance either through other finance arrangements or capital raisings, it may not be able to fully develop its projects and this may have a consequential impact on the carrying value of the related exploration assets and the investment of the parent company in its subsidiaries.’

"Who said there was a doubt about the company as a going concern"

We've been over this before SL - you know full well that it was stated in the RNS of 15th Jan 2019...

"The Company's continuance as a going concern is dependent upon its ability to obtain adequate financing and to reach profitable levels of operations. These material uncertainties may cast significant doubt upon the Company's ability to realize its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business and accordingly the appropriateness of the use of accounting principles applicable to a going concern."

I appreciate you are sitting on a considerable loss and are clearly stressed by the prospect of a further fall but your insistence on trying to discredit anyone who posts anything that does not support your prop-the-share-price-up agenda is disingenuous and creates a false impression of the considerable risk here.

Like I said before, most folk will likely wait for the finance to be sorted before risking their cash... this is not 'deramping' it is basic common sense.

Souldoubt same old same old. Always talking about negatives but conveniently missing out the positives.

Newmont have invested! Creditor agreement looking promising. This is a good entry point imo. Remember newmont took a placing at a much higher share price and since then ‘Loryser Reaches Agreement with Creditors in Uruguay’ which puts the group in a better position IMO.

another one. Jeez
Who said there was a doubt about the company as a going concern, in fact quite the contrary. You don't get partnered with one of the largest gold miners on the planet for no reason and as per the update in February 'the Company has managed to crystalize two deals which provide a platform to transform Orosur'. Come on if you're going to deramp try harder. All that's happened to date, and I've said it a million times, is a lack of comms over the last few months nothing more nothing less.

Ignacio Salazar, CEO of Orosur, said:
