Kodals Mali Lithium Mine
Today 00:27
The 452 sq.km., mine is full of high quality and high quantity lithium spodumene.An excellent grade for use in batteries bar none.
The depths are determined by the mine contours mostly and extraction with open cast hydraulic equipment is easily attended to.
Anyone that thinks different should sell Kodal and buy their Lithium shares elsewhere where ease of mining and processing is better.Good luck with that.Spouting nonsense here to LTH`s who know the score is a waste of time.

Funny! I thought you lived under a bridge NZ? The RNS has been, let’s hope the price holds now with a steady rise up to the next news. See what tomorrow brings GLA

Yes! That's the one ini. It's not a mountain though but a sub-level cave which is yet more appropriate to the point in issue. Thanks for finding it again. Of course, Mali is not Middle Earth so, maybe, NZG can be forgiven for thinking that we'd be drawing in the Dwarves to hew the ore out using nothing more than their pick axes :-) As I understand it, they're comfortably settled on the South Island of New Zealand now, anyway :-)

That was me gfd, a video of resolute talking about their listing on the lse.

Lots of talk of automation.... I'll post it later when the kids are in bed... if I can find it!

It’s a tsunami of EV related news, if BA keeps to or betters the timescales he’s set KOD we will all be very well off.

Thanks again SorB. I wish that I could post links as easily as you seem to be able to do. Just to address NGZ's closing kick in the nether regions, about the depth of some of our veins, Google 'robotic mineral extraction' and read the plethora of material that is available, on the net, about how robots can tackle that issue.

Someone, probably you, SorB, posted a link a while ago which shed some light on this technology and I commented upon it at the time. In that case, they were using that technology to extract minerals from deep within a mountain. I'm reasonably sure that, if it can be done in that environment it can be done in an open pit/strip mining environment too. So, keep your caustic remarks and, as I encouraged your fellow BGS investor some time ago, DYOR and do it diligently and extensively.

Another good post SorB. Keep them coming!

Of course, there would be no BGS guys posting here if BGS had a dual market listing and BGS then had its own BB on LSE. Yet they do have their own BB - on Hot Copper. I wish they'd take their thoughts and agenda there. You don't see KOD shareholders posting there, do you?

There is no comparison between KOD and BGS for a whole raft of reasons. Sooner that KOD shareholders posting on this BB wake up to that and stop engaging with the interlopers on this BB, the better IMHO.

This is a great read for all of us here, including the BGS guys.

The follow on article goes into lithium in Africa, I’ll try to dig it out.

"What struck me in particular, is how fortunate we are to have a high quality product, free from those impurities (iron and mica) which can be the death knell for even relatively high grade spodumene concentrate - fans of BGS should pay heed to this.". You've been proven wrong again gfd so now you're changing the argument into a comparison. Let's wait for final data at production, afterall both resources still open with further unexplored tenements on the cards. As for nothing in common? Lost me I'm afraid. gla

RSI after scrolling through that post NZG. You need to consider how it is that you have so much material (ore) and so comparatively little finished product. Look at the tables that compare output between the producers, replicated in KOD's last, AGM, Presentation. Then listen to the podcast. Anyway, as I have said before, I wish no ills to BGS and its shareholders, far from it. Bottom line is that we are all shareholders. But that's all that KOD and BGS have in common. Good luck.

You sure about inferior product GFD?Since you can't read Dazs post;
The Company is pleased to advise that
this preliminary
testwork confirmed

can be converted to a product th

is a minimum 99.50%

.
T
he
principal conclusions
of the test work report are:
?
Calcination (betaisation) of Goulamina spodumene concentrate to
convert the natural
alpha
-
spodumene to beta
-
spodumene demonstrated 100% conversion to beta
-
spodumene, indicating that materially all lithium present is present as spodumene;
?
Betaisation of a bulk concentrate sample, followed by sulphation roasting, leachin
g,
impurity removal, evaporation, precipitation and bicarbonation achieved an overall
lithium extraction of 82.66%;
?
Li

CO

product contained >99.5%
Li

CO

;
?
Some impurities were higher than the battery grade specifications, due to the limits of
the test wor
k procedure, the current flowsheet assumed and the operating conditions of
the individual process steps not having been optimised;
?
It is reasonable to expect that with minor changes to the flowsheet
used for this “Proof of
Concept” test work
and optimisati
on of some of the process steps that spodumene
concentrate from Goulamina will produce battery grade lithium carbonate or hydroxide;
?
Goulamina spodumene concentrate, as tested in this program, is suitable for conversion
to lithium carbonate via conventiona
l processing routes; and
?
Further test work on a conversion option for Goulamina spodumene is warranted.
And lets be honest here the last drill results from KOD weren't great, given the depth was downhole, still the spod is kinda deep don't you think?Average strike of just 15.6 metres, average depth of 111 metres, hmmm not flash by any stretch.

Oh, I think that BA has seen the light already wtfaid. Possibly courtesy of Chinese water torture :-) I do, however, stand ready with Chinese lanterns in the event that a torch needs to be held to his feet! :-)

Thanks SorB, that one worked. If you can cope with the brief musical interludes (they are but brief and the best are, as is often the case, saved till last - David Bowie, no less!) this is well worth listening to. There's some interesting news and some insightful analysis.

What struck me in particular, is how fortunate we are to have a high quality product, free from those impurities (iron and mica) which can be the death knell for even relatively high grade spodumene concentrate - fans of BGS should pay heed to this.

How neat will it be if our produce is not only mined, processed and refined in Mali but, then, transformed into batteries in Africa (possibly Mali - why not?) for EV's made in Africa. The old Salt Route might again be seeing some heavy traffic as it used to do in bygone times. Let's all hope so. It will massively cut down on transportation costs and increase the price that can be paid for our product.

Another great find SorB.
