Brilliant. In the December shareholder meeting this is what was promised. I too believe that things are indeed moving in the background and when the announcements start coming we shall be ready for the next steps on this journey.

“Having now completed the design work, we are in a position to demonstrate the various additional (above regulatory requirements) safety features we have built into the design such as underground well heads, how it brings benefits to the local economy and to local communities and the vital role it plays in the wider Northern Ireland economy. Islandmagee storage project on EU list “To this end, we are ramping up our communications work so as to reassure people, to provide accurate, factual and third-party endorsed information and to share the excitement of this project whose technologies have been tried, tested and proven in many parts of Europe for several decades.”

Larne times Islandmagee
Today 17:43
https://www.larnetimes.co.uk/news/business/residents-a-priority-says-islandmagee-gas-project-firm-1-8779859

The company behind the extensive gas storage scheme deep below Larne Lough has offered an assurance to the community over safety.

Islandmagee Energy, a subsidiary of InfraStrata, says that the concerns of residents will “always be a priority” for the company.

Once complete, the Islandmagee storage facility will consist of eight underground caverns, capable of storing a total of 450 million cubic metres of gas in Permian salt beds.
The company says that this will be carried out by using a “well-proven technique that represents the most environmentally-friendly, safe and efficient method of storing large volumes of natural gas”. Islandmagee Energy has stated that the project has undergone “numerous intensive safety and environmental impact assessments” before planning permission for the deep underground gas storage system was approved in 2012. Infrastrata CEO and Islandmagee Energy’s Managing DIrector John Wood says integrating and communicating with all communities is central to Islandmagee Energy’s priorities.

“As we implement our community engagement and communications programme, a new Facebook page (Islandmagee Energy) has been created to help local communities, businesses and politicians clearly understand the full facts and details surrounding the development. This follows on from the extensive community engagement work that was carried out prior to planning permission being secured. “Planning permission was granted for this vital energy infrastructure development that will guarantee security of energy power supply for the local communities and Northern Ireland, following some of the most intensive impact assessments undertaken for any project in Northern Ireland. “We are now preparing to start enabling works on the site and as part of our planned and ongoing community relations work, we will keep everybody up to date on progress, and more importantly, provide a facility to quickly answer any concerns local residents may have. “The Facebook page is live and will soon be followed by our updated website which contains full details and plans for everyone to see, “We are dedicated to protecting the environment in all its forms particularly in this area of Islandmagee which has undergone much industrial development in recent decades. “While we have been happy to undergo the most in-depth scrutiny into our plans and are delighted to have been given the green light, we expect people will want a clearer understanding of why this project is vitally important for future generations. Oh ok then, that makes a nice change. Irish news sounds like it's written a poorly researched article, so just read the RNS of this company and you'll build up a picture of why we like the company and its management

EdMoses ......Don't worry what they say here - YOU HAVE YOUR SAY m8 !

That is what these forums are for. This wise man will tell you this in this forum you won't have to be hear for long to work out the RAMPERS and those that have great views and people like me that come across as if I rock the boat - It does not hurt to look the other way from time-to-time.

People in this forum never think (generally) of a plan "B" - simple mind one focus!

By the way - I LOVE INFRASTRATA - gla xx

Yeah these things can definitely happen but at the end of the day you can only really invest on the facts, doomsaying would pretty much lead to not investing in any share, even at FTSE level if a director was to leave or something it crashes the share price so not really sure what the difference is here - JW is immense but no-one is irreplaceable

Speedy-Gonzalez, A wise man once told me if you can't run fast enough buy yourself a moped!

I guess i'm just saying no one is irreplaceable, I do like JW, but remember a wise man once told me that the cleverest man in the world said to him "remember my son - there are two sides to a coin"

I had shares in a company that were drilling for oil and day in day out the share price was going mad up, up, up and away....until one day the exploration came to a sharp standstill .....the drill piece snapped and ...booooof the company crashed rock bottom

That Irish news article had loads of issues with it - is why I called it crap the other day - razer's right that not getting the funding is plan A with the EU money essentially a cherry on the top

Nope, not trolling - researching. Read in the Irish News this am that the money is essential (critical was a stretch, apologies) - I quote "The company - which has just posted pre-tax losses of more than €1 million - has already invested around £13 million in the Islandmagee project, and sees the European money as essential to enable it to proceed.". I know little of the company at this stage, but the info here is useful hence me asking. I wont ask anything further. wow.

Are you trolling mate? If you knew a single thing about this company you'd know the EU funding is not critical, and all of their plans have assumed no funding granted. EU funding is therefore purely an upside if we get any of it. There's no need for a plan B because not getting the funding is Plan A.

What if...
With the EU money critical to the further expansion of the islandmagee venture, and with so many variables that are EU centric what's the plan B here should funding not be secured? Takeover, PI or JV (a placing wouldn't fund it) - how would they realise the £40m needed through other channels or is this now an all in the EU basket or nothing move?
