Hi Beardozer. I went through your list yesterday. I struggled to find the hidden value in all the names you mentioned. With the exception of GRX, they just felt like a bunch of binary option-like bets. I am probably being a bit dim and I would welcome a bit more colour on what you see in them vs IIP say which has a SP at a massive discount to tangible asset value. Also, with GRX I am long a similar situation that's trading at 1/100 its claim against a government and I think the r/r is potentially better there considering the attractive entry price. Curious to see what happens with IIP.
Let's see if anything happens next! For example, 500 jets ordered. They have to land and live somewhere. Let's get a couple of new contracts.
I've been looking at the other shares you've commented on and IIP is nothing like them! What I look for in an investment is hidden value and IIP ticks all the boxes! Patience may be required but that's true for most investments. If hidden value attracts you may I suggest you research everything I'm invested in? GRX, IES, KP2, LOGP, ORR, RCH, TOM, TWD, ZIOC.
Current Mkt. Cap. is £3m. Assume they sell DLI for £30m and suddenly, ignoring other assets, the NAV is 10x the Mkt. Cap. In theory, the SP should rise. Alternatively, if they wind up the company then that £30m is shared among all the shareholders (in theory). I have no idea what DLI is worth - it could be far less or a lot more than £30m. Another thing to factor in is the company's debt.
Maybe I am being dense? How will it increase shareholder value.
Are you a bit dense? "As previously announced, the Board remains in discussions with third parties regarding the sale of further assets, including Distribution Logistics Infrastructure Limited, and further announcements will be made as and when appropriate." That is the jewel in the crown, worth multiples of the current SP as bbr391 helpfully points out. What's wrong with winding up the business if it generates enormous shareholder value?
Are you a bit dense? Fourteen trades today, equalling less than £2K in buys. I admit most days there are no trades, but unless IIP tell us they are actively in business then they clearly are not, and are winding up the business.
Percentage of shares N.I.P.H. 75.57% - expect fireworks! Even with yesterday and today's rises I'm still underwater - timing is everything!
Yep - Looks like IIP is finally about to turn the corner - easily 10 bagger from here.
As we all know the basic value is several fold of today`s SP .
If IIP doesn`t go into liquidation .
So today`s admission of possibility is Interesting Indeed.
Outstanding Sonny
Would be nice to know if IIP actually have any business, any contracts, anything at all to be fair. Are they simply winding down to nothing, selling anything to pay their debts? Cannot believe there are no infrastructure projects to get behind.
Nothing wrong with being part of the herd! It's often they who make the most profits! As always, timing is everything and I hope your long term hold proves profitable. I am currently sitting on a loss but I remain confident and am researching other investments in India.
beardozer - Hope you are not counting me as part of the 'herd' - I've been here for years and have quite a sizeable holding (in the millions).
One assumes this may be our time to shine .
Though nowt is for certain .
With more news a coming soon ,Our time is now .
Good luck All the bedraggled whom have stuck with this underperforming Board .
Outstanding
Percentage of shares N.I.P.H. = 75.57% so things could get very interesting.
Up 10% after the first of the herd invested less than the cost of an emergency plumber - I remain confident. India + Logistics is a good combination which could lead to a multi-bagger. DYOR
Could be a good time to load up.. NAV is still probably circa 10p per share!
bbr391, you are so enigmatic yet strangely comforting! While I've always viewed my investment in IIP as a binary bet, it's also true that the tail wags the dog. Allegedly up 2.94% today on small change, it will be interesting to see what happens when the herd arrive (assuming there still is a herd). I wish I had a word with which to end every comment! Leave it with me.
The tail still wags ,albeit sporadically .
Outstanding
Looking at the potential sale off assets including DLI
That link didn't work for me but if you get to the site and search anekal the news is there to see. IIP is a very small part of my PF and I am resisting the urge to invest more! GLA
I don't think so! This remains a very high risk binary bet which is why I invested in the first place!
Good news without any result .
Outstanding Sonny
I think we are expecting an announcement aren't we? Would be a right laugh if it was good news and had a positive affect on the SP.
