The placing was just 120m shares (about 7% dilution) so not much. Imo looking at the volumes since the placing, this should be free to move by end of the coming week.
Won't be surprised to see 3p+ by Friday.

Oil over the Fence

It would be brilliant news for BPC if Cuba were to discover oil in a reservoir close to BPC's acreage. Best thing that could happen in the short term.

Whilst there are millions 'to clear' perhaps some of them will be held on to in order to gain a greater piece of any possible pie - though 25% for nothing is a bargain too.

Remember topshare that we have millions of places shares to clear. So anytime this goes on a run the sp gets pulled back by placed shares getting sold for 25% plus profit.
That's why even on announcement of a deal we won't see the expected zoom to the moon immediately. Just my opinion.

From an outsider...

...looking in, I see today's activity an insurance posturing.
As shareholders we are unable to act for FOUR days. During which an announcement or leak can happen with BPC.
Imagine a deal filtering out on Friday or Monday!
Taking a position today means that if BPC went to suspension or NT on Tuesday, new investors, or those acquiring top ups on their positions would be insured against news.
We are nearing an anniversary since last significant RNS and another could come at anytime.
As the saying goes; you need to be in it to win it.
I've topped up today purely because we are getting close and I'd rather sit back and watch a re-create than to try to enter at over 4p when it's all too late.
Having said that, news may still be weeks away. But I'm convinced news will come. Like the rest of us on the board I have no idea when that might be.

Harry - hardly zest and enthusiasm - more like I have been here so long I would hate to miss out due to frustration.

There is now more of a real time deadline to be met - the deadline appears to be more tangible this time. More a sense of urgency.

Those slip of the tongue comments made not so recently have in my own thoughts (others may think otherwise) revealed a little positivity. Those comments of course were countered by a comment from the company.

Big risk vs big rewards - I am in it until the end knowing that it could go either way.

what is your SP prediction for Tuesday opening? 1.2? 1.5? or something more BPC realistic (no change from closing today)
BPC moves at a leisurely pace 99% of the time. The other 1% all LTH get our hopes up that this could be the big one - or for shorters this could be the end.

well, that was my hour away.
you have all had the chance to fill your boots if you believe in the magic that a positive post here can drive the SP.

Brynjon: Really? Would you want to be out of this at this time?

Yes I would. From a BPC point of view only if the SP went off like a rocket this afternoon.
Other than that I am back in the UK for a week and would like decent weather so I can be out and about over the weekend without a coat. Warmer climate has made me soft.

A detailed RNS of the farmout will take time to sink in. Timing of it's release will be important, imo.

Really? Would you want to be out of this at this time?

To be honest if I knew back then what I know now I perhaps would not be in on any weekend. The issue now is that this share is an opportunity - not to get rich quick (certainly in my case) but an opportunity which only knocks on a door occasionally. That said it may come to zero but with the knowledge some big names are being employed by the company and the GoB then I do not see this being an abject failure.

My money is at risk as is anyone who invests here - we know that (or certainly should) but now only 2 weeks away from the anniversary of the big RNS last year. Hopefully things will come earlier this year.

1970s
Thu 10:18
bpc seems a bit remnant to me of how companies were run in the 1970s with boards that kept workers and investors in the dark and fed on sxxt companies now tend to be more transparent and fluid to the people who at the end of the day are paying their wages a trait which seems alien to bpc in an age when the super highway were information can be passed quickly and efficiently in a blink of an eye it is not to much to ask for more transparency as to were bpc now stand regards any deal.we should surely have gained some ground since last fundraising exercise get into the super highway of the 21st century bpc not the tickertape communications of the 1920s.
