Funds gone from self trade account. Here’s hoping for good news
My funds are away as well from Halifax. It’s all or nothing now, exciting times hopefully ahead for all holders!
Yes halifax took funds on Friday morning plus enough to cover the extra I had applied for. I do think though that some may have been caught out by either selling shares too early or not funding in time.

Yes, Dinoman, you can buy shares with pretty much anyone straight away - because they too are on a T2 basis. However, for this offer, you needed cleared funds, which was why they asked for two extra days. Which is why some people may be finding out they haven't got the offer - the terms in my dealing/ISA accounts were well explained by II (obviously cannot speak for others)
IG took mine Friday afternoon. Shown in my account as "Open Offer - Taken Up" with all the usual data like buy price and book cost.
Hi all, just for your info, I am with the Share center and I can sell any of my Shares and then Buy new shares immediately upto £25K uncleared funds, which is a very useful tool in these situations, Regards DM
Halifax took my funds on Fri morning, anyone else?
actually, that had been posted earlier as I recall and would have stopped some of the "why haven't Halifax taken my money questions" From the internet the definition below makes it clear how long cash takes, and working backwards means as they said 16th for cleared funds, the cash goes out on Monday.
Once you’ve sold any investments with xxx, you may have to wait a couple of days to withdraw your funds. This is because we need to wait for your shares to settle. This normally takes two days for UK equities (T+2) and three days for US equities (T+3). Once you’ve sold your shares you can use the cash to trade more shares immediately, you just won’t be able to withdraw your funds until we’ve physically received them from our broker.
Thanks for clarifying, next week is gonna be an interesting one.
No urbancookie, you aren't wrong - they are telling you that it takes time for shares sold to turn into cleared cash - so if you are selling any investment (at any time technically) the cash isn't instantly available. But yes, based on the activities since the OO and the discussions on here, some people for various reasons may not get the 100% entitlement they were expecting.
If you wish to accept the Offer and intend to fund the take up of your Open Offer shares by selling existing shares held in your portfolio, you will need to ensure that the trade is executed on or before 16th May 2019 in order to ensure cleared funds are available by our deadline.
Am I wrong in thinking that this is stating the sale of any shares rather than Bould shares in particular? Many holders might have a rude awakening on the 24th in terms of the number of shares they receive. Or am I missing something?
