Aukett Group PLC18 March 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 18 March 2005 AUKETT GROUP PLC ("Aukett Group" or the "Company") In a circular to shareholders of Aukett Group dated 8 March 2005, it wasreported that the Company had received an approach (which could lead to anoffer) from SMC Group plc. Since that date, limited discussions have taken placeand it has been established that SMC Group plc is no longer planning or seekingany form of approach (which could lead to an offer) to the Company.
