Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 1 October 2012 it purchased 35,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 98.8913 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was100 pence and 96 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 727,438 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,438,496 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
