Transaction in Own Shares

SciSys plc (the "Company") announces that on 6 August 2009 it purchased 35,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 47 pence per share in accordance with the authority granted to it by shareholders at its Annual General Meeting. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares until their acquisition by the Trustee of the Company's Share Incentive Plan. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 51,792 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 28,428,483 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
