Response to Disclosure Inquiry
On February 14, 2012 (5:26 pm, local time), the Korea Exchange requested a disclosure inquiry regarding rumors of a possible split-off of the LCD business. Samsung Electronics responded to the disclosure inquiry as follows:
Samsung Electronics is considering splitting off the LCD business, but no decision has been made at this point. Further disclosure will be made within 3 months or as soon as any decision is made.
