Helical Bar PLC05 January 2005 NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PERSONS HELICAL BAR PLC ("Helical Bar" or "the Company") The Company was informed on 5 January 2005 that on the 4 January 2005, under therules of the Helical Bar plc Share Incentive Plan (the "Plan"), Helical BarTrustees Limited had purchased 4,300 ordinary shares in the Company. Theseshares were purchased using contributions to the Plan by the directors andemployees of the Company, matched in a ratio of 2:1 by the Company, and usingdividend income re-invested by the directors and employees into shares in theCompany. On 5 January 2005, 5742 shares were awarded to directors and employeesat the closing mid-market price on 4 January 2005 of 1200.0p in accordance withthe Plan rules.
