JAMES FISHER AND SONS PLC ANNOUNCES QUEEN'S AWARD WIN

James Fisher and Sons plc is delighted to announce that its subsidiary, Remote Marine Systems Ltd (RMS), has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise - International Trade 2009. This recognises the company's exceptional international growth over the past 3 years, which has been instrumental in the group's successful organic development over this period.

The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the most acclaimed international award for businesses which demonstrate substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success, to a level which is outstanding for the goods and services provided. The Queen makes the awards annually on the advice of the Prime Minister who is advised by representatives of the Government, industry, commerce and trade unions.

RMS designs and manufactures high power electrical connectors for the oil industry. Recognised as the market leading supplier in the North Seathe business has over twenty years' experience supplying downhole power and instrumentation, wellhead and packer penetrators, along with subsea connectors for oilfields around the globe. The company employs 33 people and has agents in regions around the world including EgyptChina and Indonesia. This award also reflects RMS' achievement in delivering the best quality product, after sales care and technical support to its customers.
