SUB: ALLOTMENT OF EQUITY SHARES UNDER ESOP - AXIS BANK

We are pleased to inform that the Committee of Directors of the Bank have allotted 9,669 equity shares on 23rd March, 2009 of Rs. 10/- each to the employees of the Bank, under ESOP. 

The paid up share capital of the Bank will accordingly get increased from 35,89,75,929 as on 31st December, 2008 to 35,90,05,118 equity shares. 

Further, please note that the Bank had allotted total 13,560 equity shares during the month of January, 2009 and 5,960 equity shares during the month of February, 2009.

You are requested to take the above on record.
