Genus PLC12 July 2005 For Immediate Release 12 July 2005 Genus plc Issue of equity Application has been made for the admission to trading on AIM of 40,000 ordinaryshares of 10p each in Genus plc ("the Company). The shares have been issuedpursuant to the exercise of share options by an employee of the Company. Theshares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued sharecapital of the Company. Trading in these shares will commence on Monday 18 July 2005.
