Talvivaara Mining Company Plc ("Talvivaara") has received the attached flagging notification in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Securities Market Act from Standard Life Investments Ltd. regarding the shares of Talvivaara on 3 June 2009.
The holdings of Standard Life Investments Ltd. have risen above 5% (to 5.053%). After the change, Standard Life Investments Ltd. holds in aggregate 12,388,967 ordinary shares of Talvivaara.
