KBC ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES PLC

PURCHASE OF COMPANY'S SHARES BY EMPLOYEE TRUST

The company has been advised that on 13 April 2010 the KBC Advanced Technologies Employee Trust (the "Trust") purchased 40,000 ordinary shares in the Company of 2.5p nominal value ("Shares") at a price of £0.48 per Share, following which the Trust holds 633,332 Shares.

These shares will be held by the Trust in order to satisfy the future exercise of options granted to directors and employees of the Company to purchase Shares.
