John David Group (The) PLC09 January 2006 For immediate release9 January 2006 John David Group PLC ("JD" or the "Company") Result of Extraordinary General Meeting The board of JD is pleased to announce that the two ordinary resolutions put tothe Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held earlier today were bothpassed enabling the Directors to offer shareholders a Scrip Dividend alternativeto any dividends declared or paid in the period until the next Annual GeneralMeeting. This allows the interim dividend of 2.30p per ordinary share declared on 5October 2005 to be taken alternatively in the form of fully paid ordinaryshares. JD will be issuing a post-Christmas trading update on 17 January 2006.
