Hornby PLC17 August 2005 17 August 2005 Hornby Plc Notification of Transactions of Directors/Persons Discharging ManagerialResponsibility and Connected Persons This notification is made in accordance with DR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the UKDisclosure Rules. On 17 August 2005, Frits Passet, a director of a subsidiary of Hornby Plc (the "Company") exercised options over 37,500 ordinary shares of 1p each ("OrdinaryShare"), representing 0.10% of the issued ordinary share capital, at a price of32.7p per share. On the same day Mr Passet sold 27,500 Ordinary Shares,representing 0.07% of the issued ordinary share capital, in the open market at aprice of 220p per share in order to cover the exercise costs and taxes incurred. Following these transactions, Mr Passet holds 10,000 Ordinary Shares,representing 0.03% of the issued ordinary share capital, and options over150,000 Ordinary Shares with an average exercise price of 83.4p per share.
