Director Shareholding and Total Voting Rights
The Company has been notified that on 21 April 2009 Barry Olliff, Chief Executive, exercised options over 196,103 new ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"). The exercise price paid by Mr. Olliff was 29 pence per Ordinary Share. This transaction takes Mr. Olliff's total interest to 5,243,683 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 20.3% of the issued share capital of the Company.
The total number of Ordinary Shares of City of London in issue is 25,856,603. There are no Ordinary Shares held in treasury and therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights in the Company is 25,856,603.
The above figure of 25,856,603 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
