Director/PDMR Shareholding
This notification is made in accordance with DR 3.1.4R(1)(a).
On 20 November 2008 the following executive directors of the Company were granted options ("Options") under the Regent Inns plc 2002 Restricted Share Scheme (the "Scheme") to acquire ordinary shares of £0.05 each in the Company as set out below.

The Options will ordinarily vest the third anniversary of grant subject to the grantee's continued employment and the satisfaction of vesting criteria. Once vested, subject to the terms of Scheme, the Options may then be exercised by the grantee until the tenth anniversary of grant.
No consideration was paid for the grant of the Options.
The Company was informed by the individuals listed above of the grant of the Options on 21 November.
