DIRECTOR SHARE PURCHASE

London: 20 July 2012 - ECR Minerals plc announces that it has been informed of the purchase today by Paul Johnson, a non-executive director of the Company, of 500,000 ordinary shares of the Company of 0.1 pence at a price of 0.699 pence per share.

Paul Johnson is now beneficially interested in 10,087,500 ordinary shares of the Company, representing approximately 1.25 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
